This is messed up. But I don’t think I would have let my significant other know I knew until I had an opportunity to do some investigation. My first priority would have been to locate any bank accounts or stashes of cash. Recoup as much of the losses as possible. I would have also collected documentation/evidence against her. If I had the means I would have asked the landlord to give me time to catch up. Once I’d collected all my evidence I would have filed police reports, had my friends, family, the landlord and anyone else file reports. Then I would have filed to evict her from the house. This woman needs to increase her financial literacy and stop trusting anyone to manage her money.
