Gur Jeet India isn't on here because the only people on the world who care about India is Indians the rest of us just see it as cold callers and a land fill
The full rhyme is: one for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl, four for a boy, five for silver, six for gold and seven for a secret never to be told
Giygas lul , Imagine ===》 People worshiping threes , mirrors are forbidden , black cats would have private roads so you cant meet them , people will no longer shake hands spitting is more respectful . Add more
It's not the Mandela effect. "Mirror mirror" was in the original Grim tales and most people prefer this instead of "magic mirror". People remember this "incorrectly" because the originals said "mirror mirror".
I don't really believe in the Mandela Effect. It's an excuse for people that can't remember events clearly and just get even more confused by other people that remember it differently.
The weirdest superstition I grew up with was that you had to break the shells when you ate boiled eggs, or else witches would use them to make boats and go out to sink ships. I have never met another person who also does this!
Craziest one is "my mom told me tht if you cut your nails during the night than your son or daughter will become cleaner who will clean street " i was like wtffffffff
krishna kumar also I heard cutting your nails at someone else's house means ur nails will grow ugly also an Egyptian supersition is if u leave a Shoe, sneaker, flip flop, etc. upside down brings u bad luck
Rattan Singh how about philippine superstitions? theyre interesting, the most common one i think is before going home from "begil"(something cemetary related, not really burial tho) you have to go to a different location first.(or as we call it "pag pag")
My father always told me that is a black cat crosses road before you then it doesn't signify you will get bad luck what it actually means is cat is is in a greater hurry then you are in.
fun fact: in ancient greece it was common to huck an apple at someone you liked, apples represented love and fertility so it was thought to increase the chances that said person would develop feelings for you
I learned a crazy new superstition when my grandfather passed.. apparently pregnant women aren't allowed to attend the funeral or socialize with someone who recently lost someone. The reasoning was that it would invite unwanted spirits, cursing/killing the unborn child. Had cousin and a cousin's wife miss out on the funeral (they don't believe it themselves, but for sake of the superstitious ones they skipped out. The cousin's wife though, did join us in after events. Kid is fine..). Chinese if you're wondering.
Yes that’s right :/ or if someone in the family.. even a distant one like uncle, if they pass away; we have to ask if the one getting married is comfortable with us attending their wedding. Because apparently it’s consider bad luck
India is so superstitious that the owner of the most expensive house(Antilla... actually a sky scrapper) in the world.. refuses to stay in it ...bcoz he believes it will bring bad luck to him..... Yes I am talking about Mukesh Ambani.😂😂
Blayne Peterson Well USA is not farther it is closer... you need almost full circle around the earth to reach russia from Japan going east and about 1/3-1/2 to USA (Depends what part (Alaska or Rest of USA))
Clash with Stenky dum dum Alaska is part of the USA do you not realize that and because parts of Alaska cross the International Date Line they are farther east there are a couple islands that are ride across the International Date Line making the United States the country farthest to the East and farthest to the West thanks again to Alaska And parts of Russia do come rather close to the International Date Line making it farther east then Japan however most of it is to the west of Japan but that does not mean that you cannot travel in an Eastward Direction and not end up in Russia
Blayne Peterson I am sorry ... my english is bad so that might be why you didn't understand me... I sad parts of USA (Alaska or Rest of USA) wich means Alaska is part of USA ! And again you are right about islands... I was just talking about main land (or however you call it) Again sry for bad english... I agree with you👍
All These Contradicting Superstitions Can Cause A Person To Litterally Have OCD, It Happened To Me Once For A Year And I Suffered Heavily Everytime I Did ANYTHING. I'm Glad That Christianity Helped Free Me From All That Nonsense Superstitions.
A superstition that I was told before and still bring along till this day is that whenever you see a black moth flying around in the house, someone is coming over. Surprisingly this did work every time with the person either being an already informed guest or sometimes my parents coming over around 10 minutes after the moth appeared.
I know this is four years old but imma added to this one since I grew up on this: In one Hawaiian superstition, if a black moth visits you, it means that your ancestor is watching over you. If the black moth flies from each corner of the room, someone in that room will die. If the black moth lands on you, it also means your ancestor is watching over you but you'll get good luck.
The death by writing name in red ink also applies in China! Such a culture shock after going to the States for school seeing students and teachers write their name in red ink... In China my friends would never write in red even if that's the only pen they had.
99% of the comments are 'why isn't India mentioned?'But I'm glad it isn't mentioned!Cuz every time it is..half the comments are a warzone between Indians and Paks(I'm Indian BTW)😂😂
Superstitions are everywhere. Throwing bridal bouquets, wearing a white wedding dress, groom not seeing bride before wedding, something old, new, borrowed, blue, carying bride over threshhold of a house, tieing cans and junk to a car and dragging them as you drive away, there are all popular bits of nonsense in my area.
There are 4 type of people: When they see a black cat they: a) run away and freak out b) doesn't give a crap and goes an pets the cat (me) c) ignores it d) crosses the road/avoids it what do you mean? grammar is my middle name
Fan death in South Korea is something I always found interesting. Or the giving of clocks as a wedding present in China because your symbolizing that the relationship will only last for a certain amount of time.
Its actually "Magic mirror on the wall who's the fairest of them all?" Its not "Mirror mirror on the wall who's the fairest of them all?" Some crazy psychological phenomena here.
In some country there's a superstition that if you touch heads with someone you will grow horn and if you want to fix that you just knock your head against that person an even amount of times
it's funny to think magpies are bad luck in Ireland, but good luck in China, but Crows are bad luck in China, even though their the same family of birds along with blue jays
Cannell of Glory I know Ireland isn't huge but I suspect you haven't done a census on whether everyone believes these superstitions or not. I'm from Scotland and although I'm sure plenty of us don't believe in some superstitions I would never be confident in saying no one does
Whereabouts in Ireland mate? I'm sure alot of it is regional and I'm sure some people believe in those superstitions, you don't know everyone in Ireland after all.
Both of those Irish superstitions are around in the UK as well, though finding four-leaved clovers is generally an activity for kids and 'hello, sir magpie' is more of a habit for those who say it than anything else.
i know i was exaggerating by saying no one believes in those superstitions, but most people don't. BTW im from the country side in Cork and if anyone was to believe in superstitions it would be the people from the country. also Ireland is a relatively small country and i have been to a lot of the county's and ive never came across anyone who believes in those superstitions, how ever most people i know will laugh at a superstition like if we see a hole in a tree or if we see a fairy fort. FYI the real colour of a leprechaun is red... if they were to exist.
I'm not superstitious - I did the calculator paper for my GCSE Maths on Friday 13th and I now have a B for GCSE Maths. (I was in set 5 for maths, out of 7 sets)
so there were maggots in our garbage and one of our neighbors said that’s a sign someone is about to die- this just messed my night up cause my body has been hurting and I think I’m experiencing heart palpitations but I’m unable to go to the doctor because of lockdown and now I’ve been paranoid since March that I’m might die.... the last thing I needed was my superstitious neighbor to tell me maggots in our trash is a sign someone will die-
How's Your Cat Now, Is It Happy And Healthy? Black Cats Are Supposed To WARN You Of Disaster But They Certainly Do NOT BRING Disaster, I'm Sure Your Life Is Going Great Because Superstitions Are Satanic Nonsense.
On the website Snopes, I found out about some methods for curing the seven years of bad luck that are said to result from breaking a mirror. It's an interesting read, and then I realized that in stories, especially TV shows, that feature that superstition, nobody ever mentions those remedies. The characters act like once you break the mirror, you're *stuck* with the seven years' bad luck. No option, no exceptions.
You said that superstitious people is religious people , that’s interesting because I believe in the Lord Jesús and I do no have any superstition at all in fact I despise them all.
@@Aman-wt9iv Yes, indeed, but indeed he, came back to life at the third day and you don’t believe he did, that is not a problem, because, according to the Scripture, even his own disciples didn’t!!!!!!
