It's crazy how it's been 10 years since an officially rated EF5. Given the destructiveness of 2015's Rochelle tornado and December 2021's Kentucky killer, I find it very hard to believe that there hasn't been an F5/EF5 for that long.

@@highriskchris Interestingly enough (and creepily enough), the EF3 Andover tornado of 29 April last year followed an almost similiar path as the Andover F5 of 1991. The videos of both storms are amongst the most iconic of all tornado footage.

Its just because the things havent “eaten” alot of stuff is all…..I mean there have been gigantic powerful tornados that have just gone across open fields….so they dont eat anything except grass and dirt…no structures…..

You definitely had (in my opinion) the best season of any chaser this year. You caught almost all of the photogenic tornadoes that occurred. Great work Chris, goodluck this season!

Despite missing a few good tornadoes, I'd say you definitely made the most of 2022 my guy. Your Winterset footage is still by far the best from that day. Cheers, man! Great content as always.

I was in the path of the Round Rock, TX F2! Seeing the damage afterwards was unreal! Been in Texas all my life and never been THAT close to a tornado before!

The F2 Round Rock TX tornado dissapeared just a neighborhood over mine, scary to think that if it had lasted 1-2 miles longer it would've went straight for my house. I was there for the debris clean up, very tragic what I saw, it was more than just trees and power lines knocked over, houses with entire rooms, roofs, and windows missing, and a lot of wrecked vehicles.

Yes I remember this year!!! It my area storm season kinda stunk. But in Area's like Alabama, Texas, Oaklahoma and all those goodie tornado places. This season was remarkable!

I was on the Sulpher Springs tornado as well, but I wasn't able to get the greatest footage because I got stopped in traffic. Great tornado, and a great video as well.

@@highriskchris there were many 18 wheelers, and it gave me physical pain to to see the top of the tornado over the trees but not being able to film it. Luckily I did catch it when it was at it’s most photogenic

What are your thoughts on how warnings are done? I watch and have multiple comments on your other day about the antiquated EF-Scale, but do you believe county-based warnings were out of date? When the entire county was warned for, instead of just the portion where the storm is going to affect?

My childhood babysitters son was in the Andover YMCA when it took a direct hit. It’s 2024 and they finally put windows in, I wondered if the YMCA would stay closed and be written off as a loss but I guess they decide not to keep it closed. Andover has been hit twice, though close to the same spot so hopefully it keeps only at the 2 we already had.

I have been interested in tornadoes since I was a kid and this only increased when my home in 2016 was hit with a F1 tornado with me, my mom and dad in the basement. My mom was nearly hit by a F4 in the Palm Sunday Tornado Outbreak of 1965 which lifted their car slightly as they tried to out run it coming back from church. Her father, my grandfather's field was hit during the 1956 Standale , MI tornado that was an F5, killed 17, injured 340 and was on the ground for 48 miles. He has some decent pictures of it. All of this came from a less common tornado area of Western Michigan (

I didn't say it in the video but we were behind Hank for a while, also Max Olson was on that storm. Tail end charlie is the play 90% of the time so I think it's probably the right decision to make in the long run.

On march 21 2022 I was in the middle of a forming tornado the hit the ground 10 minutes away and when it was over I checked the damage and I saw the the entire gas station was destroyed and 7 houses in my neighborhood got destroyed

Noticed that as well, check out Dr. Leigh orfs simulations (Pecos Hank has him on his channel as well) and you can see there are a lot of different circulations feeding into tornadoes.
