Mortal Kombat should make movies like the MCU does. There's no way to get all the back stories and info for all the characters in one movie. All the major characters should have their own movies, though some can be in with others as their stories are connected (Subzero and Scorpion for instance). The culmination of the movies should surround the tournament and be the Avengers type movie.
No, the best way to do it is like a reverse MCU style format. MK doesn't have enough lore to do that many moves, but they should do like 5 movies & 12 shows spread in between the 5. I have an idea/pitch for a reboot, &,: the basic idea starts with a soft ish reboot of 2021movie but executed much better and more true to the LORE. The basic layout looks like this (#s are the movies, - marks are the shows in between): 1)Mortal Kombat Mythogies: Fire & Ice (2021 reboot but fokus on Scorpion & Sub Zero, Liu Kang & Kung Lao. 2 years before the tournament,Shang Tsung is indirectly trying to eliminate Earth's fighters in order to gain an edge before it starts. Incorporates a bit of Mythologies as well) - Mortal Kombat: The Lin Kuei Assassins - Mortal Kombat: The Black Dragon Clan - Mortal Kombat: Special Forces - Mortal Kombat: Enter Edenia - Mortal Kombat: Enter Outworld - Mortal Kombat: Citizen Cage 2) Mortal Kombat: Shadow on the Tournament - Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks - Mortal Kombat: The Matoka Tribe - Mortal Kombat: The Shirai Ryu 3) Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance - Mortal Kombat: Chaos & Order - Mortal Kombat: Enter the Netherrealm 4) Mortal Kombat: Deception of Armageddon - Mortal Kombat: Enter the Netherrealm pt II 5) Mortal Kombat: Dawn of the Order of Light That's the basic layout, all movies incorporate elements from many MK media, some even hardcore fans are unware of like MK DOTR.

You can tell that is exactly what they were going for but they didn't get the 1st movie right to begin with. The 1st movie doesn't have to be the tournament (like you suggested), the 1st movie should be like 2021 but actually about Scorpion & Sub Zero, using Kharacters that make sense but don't compromise the story GOING FORWARD. it should end with Sub Zero 2-0 vs Hanzo, so *Scorpion can come back & defeat him during the tournament.* That's how it happened in the lore. Basically, I don't think you need a TV series to establish lore 1st because most ppl know the basic premise, that's why you do a 2 year prior to the tournament prequel in order to have time to properly world build instead of rushing 2 weeks before the tournament, like the 2021 movie did (which to me is exactly why I consider 2021 literally a TRAVESTY of MK, because if they did 90% of the movie they did backwards, the movie would actually be a good movie to watch.) It just needs a good 1st movie to establish the poster boys for MK (Scorpion, Sub Zero, Liu Kang, Kung Lao) and then let everyone else fall into place along the way, while most get their own shine, including the VILLAINS, especially in the TV shows is where you'll see them shine because villains (in general, not individually) will have entire shows dedicated to their story & from their perspective, while the "heroes" are still looked at by us as the heroes, but we get to see them as the antagonist in their shows (like The Lin Kuei Assassins, Black Dragon Clan, Enter Outworld etc are mostly villain based shows)

I've always wondered how much of Cyrax, Sektor, and Smoke's organics remained after being transformed into Cyborgs. The surgery scene helps answer some of my questions.
11 months later, but I still want to answer :D It seems they only have their head and some internal organs, I think all of them are separate from the remaining parts of their bodies, so that would explain how they can separate their robotic parts
Agree I would love to see more modern mortal combat movies. I think people never get what they anticipate in mk movies. Like the last one a lot of people didn’t like it but me I loved it
Did you watch the new MK animated movie? It's 10x better then the latest live action movie, and is half the story line for the movie, fans are upset because they had a perfect story line done in the animated movie and could of just expanded it a bit more and would of been amazing.
You know if your going to take humans and remove all sense of muscle and independent thought. You might have well started with nothing and gone from a straight up robot.

@@ApocGuy The first part of the process is "Weaponization and emotional recalibration". They alter the brain so that all of their responses are cerebral instead of visceral. The ninjas need to be able to think as quickly as a human being. A robot on the other hand can't adapt as quickly.

FMV cutscenes were never anything less but cringy, cheap looking and lame it was the same back in the 90s and it's still the same now why would you even waste your efforts with this crap? Simply making it CGI would have allowed you to do much more with it and this was a boring video and the creation of these two Warriors was not very interesting the fight was crap as well. If they wanted to make this interesting they should have Incorporated something like the way cyborgs are created from quake

Project Hydro made the stupidest blunder. It had the upper hand and was controlling the fight and then it put itself in the worst position, between Mustard and Ketchup. And that alone cost it the fight. Not impressed. Cheers
Although this scene was astonishing and overall epicness overload, I'm a little disappointed that they couldn't give Sektor a different cyborg body, but it doesn't look too bad either.
@@robertogomez8027 Well, yes, but these are more like MK9 designs. This is why I pondered about that, since Sektor, Cyrax and Sub Zero had relatively separate designs for their cyborg bodies
@@ChaplainPhantasm Well, they are still prototypes in this video. Recall how when they were fighting Hydro in this, they don't have their more recognizable and iconic special moves or weapons while Hydro had an upgraded arsenal to test how Sektor and Cyrax would operate against a more challenging opponent. My guess is if they were to upgrade themselves with weapons, their look would change to compensate those upgrades. Production wise; they probably had a budget on this and using the same model for the characters and changing their colors was what they could afford to do at that time.
