I don't know about newer versions of game, but I was experiencing "death choke" in 1.7 when alot of things were happening in lazy chunks, like RFTools quarry digging on the edge of render distance. Same may be happening with some farms in your base unloading while you moving away from it. Possible fix - chunkloading everything that moves, or stopping it completely

Is it possible to create a cannon train to build the tracks and bridges in the future. So you'd have 9 cannons building a column fed gunpowder in the main carriage, then using inventory links to chain resources from vaults that can chain up or disconnect from the main carriage.
