So what's the trick to getting low levels of traffic on the escapes? Every time I go do the run up and within 5 secs of starting I come across traffic blocking the entire road...

Im with the same issues. Sometimes rarely I get no traffic but almost never. When the traffic is on, it's a disgrace. Always, always facing cars on every possible lane, one behind the other, and the worst case is the fact that in every fkng curve exit you face a fckng truck or something. There's no way to react, Besides, it always blocks the unique curve tracing to enable you to do a reasonable score on the scape. This problem is disgusting, I 've needed more than 50 tries in each scape to get platinum just because of the way traffic works.
