How did you film the trip on the Cambridge canal - capturing the sound of The water against the boat but not the sound of surrounding boats and people talking - amd then over layed with that beautiful music . Why anybody who already owns a narrowboat would go to Crick show is beyond my comprehension I have been boating for thirty years and went to Crick show once it's to expensive to get in about a hour to look around and nothing of any interest Crick is for people who want to spend all day in a beer tent.This year to moor up on the tow path outside they want £4.25 per foot this works out at £250 for a 60ft boat plus the cost of tickets to get in.

You'll love wicken fen, there's moorings for six nb and turning area, check out the windmill, and the reed cutters cottages, open to the public. Also the information center and tea room.

Deb, I went through breast cancer treatments over fifteen years ago now and got neuropathy in my feet and hands. I still have it, but have learned to walk with it fairly well, my hands; well I drop things a lot but do the best I can. I will be sixty five on the seventh this month. I was forty eight when I was diagnosed! So glad to have you and Mark on videos again! Take care from North Carolina 🥹♥️🙏🏻😍♥️

What gorgeous bridges as you were punted around the Cambridge campus. Such classic architecture. Sigh. Then on the Great Ouse when you were moored, seeing all those sailboats round in the buoy in front of you as Mark was doing his homework. Just how good can it get? I am disappointed that you did not hire a punt to punt the two of you along yourself. It is a great romantic gesture to actually punt the boat yourself with your loved one aboard. (I did it some years back with my wife and son aboard. Our son was a teenager so I thought he would punt the majority of the way while I sat with my wife. Sadly he couldn't punt in a straight line, so I did most of the punting. The still get the commentary as you are always within earshot of one of the tour boats. Glad you enjoyed yourselves.

I've tried to get to Venice three times the 1st time we went in the travel agents and came out going to Monte Carlo , 2nd time we couldn't get a direct flight and went to Paris instead 3rd time it was all booked up and paid for and my wife got diagnosed with breast cancer ( she's fine now I'm glad to say ) but punting in Cambridge looks just as good , I think its the closest I'm going to get to Venice .

From where are you travelling, CRT waters I assume. You will need to apply well in advance for your Anglian pass if you intend to venture onto the middle levels and the cam. They are about 5 weeks behind with their processing. Hers a link you might find useful. www.visitanglianwaterways.org

When you do make it to Venice use the gondola's like the locals only a few euros for trips to local shops and from hotel to totel compared to very expensive for a tourist gondola. I was there 24 years ago and yes it was wonderful but to be honest your trip on the punt's looked better!

Lovely sailing footage with comfortïng music, especially the highly skilled skippers sailing against the wind, lovely to sëe that. Guitarists go to NAMM, narrowboaters go to Crick, haha. NAMM nowadays is very loud and busy, especially after lockdown, I'd avoid it like the plague ;-). I can imagine you skip this year's Crick, especially that it would be too much of a strain for Debbie, and for the safety of the dogs. In the mean time we're on the front row in your show, so no worries, you are still connected. Thank you and have a good time with or without a foaming brew. ;-)

I've been an avid follower of your channel for a long time but I never expected to see you rock up in my old home town of Cambridge. It's true that not many narrow boats travel that far so well done you. I used to crew a rowing eight on the Cam back in the day so thanks for the memories. BTW what was the concert at the Corn Exchange?

In any case, we wondered if you have a list of your gear (drone, video, audio, etc) - I looked around here a bit and didn't see it. Keep up the good work !!!!

I use my iPhone 11 for filming with a rhode mini torpedo mic, the drone is a DJI Mavic mini, first gen. I edit on iMovie on my MacBook. hope this helps

That river looked delightful loved to see the sailboats actually sailing ....my first love....but not so sure about the narrow confines . Our lake is 23 miles long and up to two miles wide ,two nice big bays a few islands.no geese no swans but lots of ducks. I always thought Mark was a bit of a Punter so a little bit disappointed there wasn't a shot of him stranded on a pole shouting for help. The Architecture is beautiful we have explored it all over as my wife's mother lived just outside Cambridge for a few years. A lovely vlog sorry I wont see you at Crick as I wont be going either. Happy cruising take care of yourselves Gorgeous weather here around 24c in the afternoons with clear blue skies .Cheers from me and Canada enjoy the Jubilee we are.

Its Lake Washdemoak about 60 miles north of Quispamsis where I live and about the same distance south from Fredericton the Provincial Capital of New Brunswick.We have lots of lakes and water ways. We can access Grand lake which is bigger in area but shallower and get quite nasty above force 4/5 we are also connected to the Saint John River which is big and known as the Rhine of North America,with many really big bays and a wonderful place for all kinds of boating in fact a "Ryte nice River" Cheers Ralph

I can't think of any reason to not mark where the cill is. What a simple and easy way to maybe save a boat and I can't think of any reason not to do it.
