Our demon cat(Boots) is like this, she understands everything but just talks back and is a savage. We still love her, she can be so sweet but she chooses violence 😭
If you give a verbal response to every meow they pick it up pretty easily. I'm a goof and always say something or meow back my rescue (Simba) has gone from mostly silent to Chatty CAThy.
@@grimmbs My newer male only scares me to jump out of bed when he brings in a new chew toy and he wants me to see it and appreciate it COMPLETELY. This is when he runs through the house squauking as if he is being attacked. It took me several times to learn what he was teaching me. Now I get up to see what and how many toys he brought in. I keep telling myself that "cat got to be a cat."
My older girl , Calypso , will follow me to the bathroom and talk to me thru the door, sometimes ill let her in , and we have full on conversations , her on the bathmat , just being a chatty Cathy.
Yes because they've learned that there is no punishment for actually doing it. Like a preteen who has never actually had to face punishment for what they do wrong. If you raise a child or an animal like this, you will train them that they can do whatever they want without repercussions. And they will.
@@frankthefkintankyou don't punish animals you give them rewards for being good trust me it makes them act way better then punishing when doing something wrong (before you ask yes I've done this with my pets and it's worked every time)
Most animals do need some sort of punishment though. I can't speak on cats since I work with/ have dogs, but a good crate timeout will get the message across most of the time. Regardless, animals do need to understand that there is some sort of boundary/ punishment for if they do something that's considered bad. In NOOOO way am I am expert though. @@miles5642

Lol I'll go in with Oi oi or oi vey hey the second time 😂 or switch to the little Sesotho I know.swear he knows 3 languages including the 2 we speak at home. Got him from an spca at over 4months old and most of the workers there speak at least 3 languages and their first language is Sesotho. I've seen him react to Sesotho a few times 😂 it's hilarious he understands more languages than I can speak properly 😂

Sameeee. I’m a human to 3 cats and 4 kittens currently since one gave birth six weeks ago. Now I find her getting into everything looking for extra food and if I dare try to speak up, she gets her babies to distract me 🤣🤣😻
It is a cute meow, and maybe it's just because I'm a mom to a boatload of cats, but I can actually imagine that he's saying what the captions indicate that he's saying. I call my male cats, "Sir," among other things, and, like Sven, they don't care to notice shoulder taps, either.
Yeah, that's kinda funny, but also a good thing. Maybe he is one of the rare cats, that doesn't like salmon at all. Kinda like my cat, doesn't easy.steak, neither raw or cooked, he only eats a few.kindsmof meat and cooked a certain way. My cat is very odd, that's why I put bods on TT with him to show how odd, like eating mashed potatoes and walks away from a piece of tenderloin meat. 😂😂 (But he can eat a piece of spareribs, without the barbeque sauce ofc)

My cat is old and the exact same. He only eats kibble, burnt bacon (must be burnt or he won't eat it) and the seasoning on potato chips, but not the chips themselves.

Cats feel no remorse when they get caught, unlike dogs. Cats are like, “yeah, so what?! Get lost, I’m doing something here and you’re bothering me. Now scram.” 😼😂
fun fact, guilt is not a feeling that dogs have, either! the gestures and expressions we humans interpret as guilt or remorse are appeasement gestures. they know they are doing something they should not and are using body language to express that they do not want to challenge you or that they are trying to soothe you. but the feeling of guilt is absent, it's simple conflict avoidance. dogs are naturally inclined to try and appease someone so they care about avoiding conflict with their humans. we quite literally bred them to create this temperament so it makes sense. cats are more like... smaller versions of their wild counterparts, so if they feel like you're angry and they fear conflict they'll just stay away from you. this is because they're both a predator and a prey species, so conflict avoidance, for them, manifests as creating distance or hiding. if they feel safe with you, your displeasure will not trigger that instinct and that's where the impression of apathy comes from.
@@WHiT3_SHAD0W because emotions are the result of chemical interactions in the brain and humans have ways of measuring and seeing those things. it's also human nature to project ourselves on things that can not speak for themselves like animals as well as inanimate objects. this is how we come to misunderstand appeasement gestures as expressions of guilt, we humanize something that is not human. like trying to care for a dog based on how you might care for a bird. additionally, the concept of a soul itself is entirely theoretical and varies in definition to most everyone. for example my definition of a soul would be the culmination of your lived experiences which your brain then uses to weigh any decisions it has to make. this might be different than the definition than others hold but since souls are an idea it's fair and fine for us to all have our own interpretations.
@@tigerstitches I mean to be fair, you can't properly compare human chemicals to animal chemicals. Maybe animals don't entirely lack guilt and their chemicals are entirely different from ours. If that's the case, how would you expect to properly compare that to anything? You can't, because it's near impossible to prove without comparisons to humans becauss we know what we are, we don't and will never 100% know animals.
@@CL0WNP4RTY human are animals, that's how we know. we're able to think in more abstract ways and evolved differently so we became a dominant species in the world. so we do know these things, fortunately. but like with all living things, it's about using a human's capacity for empathy and trying to understand others, not decide how they feel. animal psychology is very well studied in the realm of your average pets like cats and dogs. knowing this information gives humans the tools to try and bridge language barriers between different species. it's been an immeasurable help for me to know about this while working in animal rescue. being able to communicate intent and security to scared dogs and cats makes it a little less difficult for them to survive in a shelter environment. it's really cool stuff!
I'm just glad the internet world has let me know I'm not the only crazy person having full conversations with my furbabies and they respond every time.
If you talk to an animal normally from day one they will understand normal talking and be confused with baby taking If you talk to an animal with baby talking from day one they will understand baby talking and be confused with normal talking. @@vurzoh981 That's not always the case. A majority of the time, it's carelessness, but it depends. My cat was a wild but friendly cat when I got her. She relied on people giving her cans of wet food randomly and going inside the trash to fish stuff out. My dog was raised by a girl who fed him from her plate every time she ate through most of his puppy days. Her grandma was abusing him, so I took him in. After they have that exposure, it's almost impossible to break them off that habit. Some animals you can, but it really depends on their personality. Both of my pets are crazy about human food, yet neither of them get food off my plate. They're both fed a healthy diet and get treats, but will snatch something if you turn your back. The best bet to prevent it is to keep the trash covered and put their food up where they can't get it.
but it also means the cat's joints are working way way harder too. I see a lot of obese patients at work and the older they get the less and less mobile and more and more painful. it's really sad. it's more of an issue in vetmed to see overweight animals rather than underweight ones. no idea why overweight ones usually arent considered as big of a caregiving issue outside of those in the field though

@@kat._.ana19 It's the owner's job to make sure cats aren't overfed. By the cat's weight it's obviously too fat. They won't be able to move properly and it will seriously impact their health. The cat doesn't know how to balance their meal, they just eat. I don't doubt she loves her cat but she should take responsibility. This is animal abuse.

I feed 8 ex street cats. I brought 4 inside my house, turned my garage into a cat safe haven for another 4. They’re all fixed, vaccinated happy and healthy. A tight knit family unit. They love chicken 😂. They go crazy for it. That’s there “ treats “ since they won’t eat actual cat treats😂. They funny. They’d be starving without me, they’re still picky😂. Aww he reminds me of my old kitty who lived to be 19. He looked just like sven and he had such an interesting, hammy personality. So charismatic and slick lol. He was very smart and a great hunter, too. He always used to talk back to people but started talking back A LOT when he got old. He was a really good boy 🥹 anytime I see a hungry kitty who looks like him I just miss him ❤ i love sven he's just a hungy lil boy.
