My old "Kraid's Lair/Red Soil" remix remains one of my most popular songs, and I revisited the theme again for Metroid Cinematica. This time with a more vast and bleak post-apocalyptic feel, with a fusion of the Bryyo theme which I thought worked well together. Metroid Cinematica is a full-length symphonic/electronic album released in 2014. There are more tracks here on RU-vid, as well as my site, www.samostudios...
Thanks for listening! Sweet Kraid artwork by Rob Powell, I animated & composited into a background from Bryyo & added some fx. Would love to do another 3D animation thing like I did for my Maridia remix, but alas just don't have the time/resources these days.

These remixes make me want a souls-like hard Metroid where you explore the depths and the halls of long dead civilizations brough low by eldritch space abominations like Kraid, Ridley, Phantoom, the Metroids... and it’s your job to hunt them down.

My Cabbages! I got grapple and got into the crashed ship but I couldn't find a save point after I got outside after beating phantoon which is actually way better and harder in metroid other m. seriously I don't understand why people like super metroid. i started with fusion, it's a downgrade. I don't feel more powerful. in corruption I feel powerful. I always wanted to play the game that was shown in fusion before she got infected by x, but that will never be a game. it's what I always wanted other m to be. the x are a very interesting enemy. nintendon't sucks and will never use them again since the Manga though...

People like Super because it's more non-linear than Fusion and Prime 3. People like the freedom to explore where they want to. Not only that, it was the true creator of the Metroidvania genre of games. Yeah, it's not that hard until Lower Norfair, but Super Metroid is a true experience that needs to be fully explored.

This is how Kraid returns. You summoned him with this construction. I can't see Metroid the same way after this. You designed and reconstructed Kraid to epic proportions. I can't thank you enough for this. You revived my childhood with this phenomenal work. We need a serious remake of Metroid to epic proportions like this music.

This has got to be my favorite theme out of the whole Metroid series, hands down. It really captures the eerieness of the worlds Samus encounters in her journeys.

Sam Dillard, if i was in the movie industry already being able to turn this thing into a series or movie, totally would have tapped you for the music, add more versions of some of the songs, but very impressive work. I plan on getting into doing this stuff again after doing it back in the boombox days of recording a keyboard to cassette, some of the most impressive sounding VST work. Very Inspirational and hopefully see your name in a movie or series in the future!

A mostly under-recognized and admittedly less interesting boss (and his zone) getting a rendition truly worth well beyond them. But they will take it! They, and their weird spike-limb-cannon things. ...I never really got Kraid's deal, TBH. I do get this song however.
