Nah just second wave black metal without music behind him. Hard to say if he failed when the audio quality is like that and he's laughing trough it, but you defiantly need to see the whole package to appreciate it, just vocals and out fit won't work. Especially not in a TV show like that :').

I don't have an issue with the vocal style, it's just clear to me by the way he kind of gave up at the end that he was doing something wrong. Either he's inexperienced, or he's straining his vocal chords, which can be damaging. Not saying it can't be done without hurting your voice, it very much can, but I don't think that was the case with this particular contestant.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. The way he does it he indeed doesn't seem to be able to do it for a long time, and I think his vocal chords are not ending well this way too. It's just that many people don't seem to realize bands like Mayhem, Satanic Warmaster and Celestial Bloodshed are a thing too, and that black metal uses higher shrieks more often than low growls, and think they are just horribly failing the deep growls we hear often in death metal. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if many black metal bands killed there vocal chords but didn't care back then. They did more reckless things after all. But it indeed CAN be done without hurting your voice.

The gameplay is smooth, the action and soundtrack are both awesome, but it does have a HUGE difficulty decrease and I just manage to look past Ninja's terrible characterization changes.
