That is pretty accurate. The prodigies usually are really insecure tbh.

A few of my most interesting experiences with trying to find a new band member: -A drummer that couldn't play the simplest AC/DC drum beat -A bassist that couldn't play Smells like Teen Spirit or even tune the bass, and later claimed that he was drunk and destroyed his bass but he will get a new one.. And he didn't ofc -A vocalist that claimed that he sings like Nick Cave, Neil Young and Ian Curtis but on the rehearsal he didn't give a shit about the tempo and he had the most horrible voice I've ever heard. Also, he couldn't even use a mic stand and it fell over on the drumset. -Countless guys that were excited about our band and then stopped responding the messages. Good to have a stable team lol.

My band tried to find a singer, then we found none and got a saxophone. After he left we got still no singer, so we got a second drumset instead. I am the first drummer and it was a learning experience, even fun at times, but I was happy when it was over. Then we got a singer but she didn't like to sing in front of people, including us and she didn't even sing rock or punk stuff, so she left quicky. Well, now we are getting a second bass next and our current bass wants to start singing. This can only turn out well.
