I once had a dream like this. It was snowing in Texas in the middle of summer. My reaction was seriously "Snow doesn't work that way! SNOW DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY!"
This is the first thing I think of when remembering the critic..."penguins can't fly, penguins can't fly!" That or "more poison, mother? I mean...tea" and the mattress in an hour delivery to Madonna's house gag was good too 😊 "then another one, then another one...then another one!"
Thing I just realized: His Penguins can't fly bit works two ways: 1. Penguins can't physically fly. 2. Penguins cannot fly planes. Probably was more obvious to some than me. Also, favorite line not in the video: I don't care how many stewardesses you've bagged. You're a lousy pilot!
My cousin and I watched this together when my aunt hosted Thanksgiving at their home in San Jose. It was my first time visiting Cali (my sister went all the time) and we hit all the usual tourist spots and stayed in their lovely estate (my uncle created as a dev of the first iteration of Netscape Navigator as a dev at 3Com) and taught me how to use the first user friendly web browser back when the only websites were government related or a few progressive journals/magazines aka boring to my 9-10 year old self so despite this awesome trip (seen in retrospect) all I could ever remember was "Penguins can't fly! Penguins can't fly" and I always yell that at my cousin first thing when we reconnect which is a rare thing and she always yells "No I won't pray with you!" Can't find the "pray with you" clip anywhere on RU-vid but i swear it was part of one of these penguin bits..!
You know if Franklin didn't point out that Penguins couldn't fly they would have made it to the destination, that's just cartoon logic along with don't look down to maintain defying gravity.
