nice video guys. Its been too long since I walked the Crosscut saw, I think....1984? Far too long. and that mid -winter trip becomes ever more elusive as the years go by. Might be hard where I am as I'm currently in Estonia and international travel is still very dodgy.
Did this hike with friends in the nineties left some beers at the hut to enjoy on the return trip hiking back the next day from Mount Speculation on a hot summers day all we could think about was the beer reward that awaited us but when we got back to Macalister Springs they were gone some bastards had drunk our emergency supplies!
Thank you! The difficulty depends the weather and your experience. :) I have done it 6 times. It is moderate with fine cool weather from Mac Springs to Mt Spec (4-5 hours with 2 snack breaks) , it can be very challenging in wet windy cold weather for unexperienced group, and i find it too hot above 21 degrees sunny weather.
Thanks man. I'll be doing it in late march. So i think it shouldn't be very hot. I have done some hikes here. I've done mount bogong, which I found challenging but good. I should train for this. 👍
