I know it’s so annoying. I liked him so much, being an Australian athlete, I thought he was awesome, it mad me so mad once I heard he was doping, I hate him now
ConsciousThought I don’t think all of them are along with lots of sports not everyone is. I’m not going to go and say no one does them. Obviously people do them in every sport and get away with it but I don’t think it’s the majority
@@ciandunphy7888 Exactly this, these people seem unaware of the actual facts given, he was caught out because he was tested alongside the rest of them after the event, not just because he was assumed to be doping. Had they done it in the past, they weren't doing it immediately before or during the events. There is a cycling documentary, where a cyclist doped to see how many places he could jump up, it hurt him, he was literally was not as good a cyclist after a year. They are tested and it doesn't mean they will do well should they cheat.
Fraser got screwed when the camera man tripped over his chalk bag, moving it in the way of his yoke. Later on Fraser stumbled because his yoke got caught up in the chalk bag. Details...
Mad respect for these guys. I am now training to be able to handstand walk and it's extremely hard. The carry themselves burn you and destroy your grip too.
That's great, C DN. Keep working hard! If you haven't seen this video, check it out for more tips on handstand walks: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FdgJ9jZIT-Q.html
Right up to the 1st hand stand walk... Don't get me wrong he's got some severe power in that body. But in this competition as it is, in it's entirety, Brian could not keep up with the 40th place finisher on the ladies side of things. But then again the strongest male CF competitor has little chance against Brian on his playing field.
Scott L. Royal thank you for making sense. this is exactly what some people dont understand. true the mountain, shaw, hall, they wouldn't even break a sweat dragging the sled or logs or yoke at all. but can they do handstandsm muscle ups? its an entirely different discipline. its like comparing a gun to a knife. obvisouly a gun is better but what happens when you run out of ammo? give everyone their due.
@@bbbnnnddd relative strength is so stupid to use when it comes to actual strength that's why power lifters use the Wilks system not relative strength. If we used relative strength the shortest person would always win.
Heads up to any crossfitters watching. The casters talk a lot about how to breathe. Every strongman ever holds their breath during the entire yoke and farmer's carry.
That's because the strongman gets to have a nice long break after a carry. These folks go nonstop to the next exercise and then to the next and so forth. Breathing is extremely important. You hold your breath you are bound to pass put. Guaranteed.
He is only good at the weighted events, he cant walk on his hands though, and I reckon that he would be burned out after a couple of rounds. Massive respect to Thor though, absolute god, but please stop comparing him to crossfitters.
lots of the athletes don't practice on specific equipment, they create something similar, most however train at a CrossFit gym, they provide the equipment and you essentially pay a gym fee, like all athletes do, I don't actually understand why someone would think you cant train without personally owning specific equipment. It is one of the cheaper sports to compete in overall and the costs only become high because of the time needed to train, most have this as their sole job because they don't have the time to hold down a full time one, so will earn money through competition and endorsements. Apart from the Mat Frasers who has rich parents, most are pretty average in the financial sense unless they own crossfit gyms.
agreed, however, the chip that marks when they cross the line is in the shoe or on the shin. So Fikowski played it better by putting his foot across before Fraser's.
@@bass-callbo8434 maybe take your own advice? Frasers first foot crosses, both of Fikowski's cross, then Frasers second crossed, his chip was on that foot. Don't be so patronising if you aren't paying attention. You're welcome!
@Smooth Chill no chance any strongman would even make top 10 outside of maybe Mateuiz, and thats only because his foot speed and lower body weight compared to the other strong men.
