Quick lore note: the crow(the bird) is suppose to guide spirits to the afterlife but when a strong enough tragedy is left it tethers the spirt to the world of the living and the crow can bring someone back to right the wrongs done, the person brought back can gain memories from touching things related to the tragedy to remember what happen, while the person is guided by the crow they feel no pain and heal instantly till they right the wrong
@killinglonliness88
@killinglonliness88 7 месяцев назад
Not until they right the wrong really, they're invincible until the crow got injured. It's because of that he became able to be harmed instead of invincible. Of course, once he rights the wrongs done to him he was going to go back into the grave, but yeah.
@jamesmeade5490
@jamesmeade5490 6 месяцев назад
Not quite. He does feel the pain, but his emotional pain is greater so it becomes like a high for him to hurt physically he gets to a point where he enjoys it. Incidentally he is only supposed to fix his wrongs, he cannot interfere with the living. If he does he isn’t invincible his wounds remain. Look at Erics hands after he interferes with Darla’s addiction to help Sara he has black tape on his hands. Thats because she cut him swinging the razor blade. He used tape to hold the cuts closed. There was an entire character that was cut from the movie who explained the rules to Eric. Brandon died before they could do most of those scenes. But the scenes that take place after still have his hands taped up with black tape.

That’s true :-) it’s also true that the characters in the comic book were loosely based on Batman and Edgar Allan Poe’s the raven. And thematically he’s a Christ figure.

The comic this is based on was written by James O'Barr. He'd had a horrible life until he met his girlfriend, who inspired him to be better and served as a bright spot for him. However, as she was walking home one night she was killed by a drunk driver. Barr made The Crow as his expression of rage and grief at her loss.

The comic was even darker and sadder than the movie. It was also beautiful. You can tell it was really inspired by grief. T Bird was actually the big bad in the book. They changed it to Top Dollar for the movie, probably because Top Dollar is a cool name for a villain boss.

This movie, the Brandon Lee saga wrecked me. Growing up, my father and I were big fans of Bruce Lee. I fell in LOVE with Brandon Lee with his movies, so early in his career. Rapid Fire - yes loved it! Finding out he died on the set of this film, that I was so excited to see, destroyed me. Set up my teen angst in the 90s. I still have a folder of Brandon Lee photos and articles from 30 years ago. His birthday was on Feb. 1. Thanks for doing this reaction!

A little bit of trivia, but the late Michael Massee, the actor who plays Funboy, was the actor who fired the prop gun that killed Lee. Not his fault of course because the prop department is supposed to check that stuff, but he was traumatized by the event and took a year off from work. I would recommend the original comic by James O'Barr, but it's quite a bit different in some respects. The idea is essentially the same, but there is no Devil's Night/Crime Boss plot, just a bunch of creeps who Eric looks for and tears through with little effort. Eric also doesn't have weaknesses connected to the crow and if I recall correctly, no living person can see the crow, only Eric. The depiction of the murder of Eric and Shelley is also different and significantly worse. I'll refrain from describing it, but it was deeply unpleasant to read (oh, and Eric is like twice as crazy and violent than he is in the movie).

They would have fit perfectly on this soundtrack.

Wes saying (of the two bad guys firing it up): "you're honestly making me feel so exhausted" is such a vibe. This movie is so full of sadness, darkness, and despair (WITHOUT taking into account Brandon Lee's tragic and untimely death) that watching exhausts me. I love it but I can't watch it just any old time because it's so depressing. (You both are right about Tony Todd, he's super hot in this film, although his peak hotness is when he's seducing Helen Lyle in Candyman).

Brandon Lee is the son of martial artist Bruce Lee. Brandon Lee tragically got fatally wounded due to a prop gun with a piece of left over blank bullet residue, the crew thought Brandon was playing joke when scene was over and when he was laying on the floor he wasn’t moving but when they got closer they saw it was serious and rushed Brandon Lee to the hospital, the doctors did everything they could but it was too late Brandon Lee passed away at the age of 28. Some scenes aren’t Brandon it’s his body double Chad Stahelski, Chad is the director of the John Wick franchise and also Keanu Reeves stunt double in the matrix movies. The director of The Crow Alex Proyas had too cut and add new scenes for the movie because of happened to Brandon. They also CGI Brandon Lee face on too Chad face and the makeup artist made a face mask of Brandon face for chad to wear. All scenes were they don’t show Brandon Lee face it’s Chad Brandon was supposed get married to his fiancée Eliza Hutton after The Crow finished filming. After Brandon was supposed to get married Brandon was going to a sign a two-year deal to continue The Crow storyline. The Crow is comic book/graphic novel created by James O'Barr. Before entering the Marines, O'Barr's fiancée Beverly had been killed by a drunk driver. While living in Berlin in 1981, O'Barr began work on his comic The Crow as a means of dealing with his personal tragedy. O'Barr was further inspired by a Detroit newspaper account of the murder of a young couple over a $20 engagement ring. In The Crow, the protagonist, Eric and his fiancée Shelly are murdered by a gang of criminals. Eric then returns from the dead guided by a supernatural crow, to hunt their killers. The city is supposed be Detroit Michigan but the movie was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina After his discharge from the Marines O'Barr continued his painting and illustration as well as doing various odd jobs. The Crow sat on a shelf for seven years but at last he found a publisher with Gary Reed of Caliber Press. The first miniseries was published in 1989. The Crow has since sold more than 750,000 copies worldwide. Also the crow has the best soundtrack ever, the soundtrack has bands like The Cure, nine inch nails. Stone temple pilots, Pantera, Rage Against the machine etc. The Crow score is amazing as well the score is composed by Graeme Revell After Eric rescues and saves Sarah, a character in the comic Skull cowboy appears and tells Eric that he has to stay and live his life in the mortal world because he saved Sarah’s life. Tony Todd the OG Candyman plays the main villain top dollar sidekick. Officer Albrecht is played by actor Ernie Hudson from ghost busters 2. Lastly I’ll say is The Crow (1994) is my 3rd favorite movie of all time. There will be a new Crow movie starring Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven rumor to be released late this year or next year.

Hey Petty Pumpkins, I wanted to express a huge thank you for reacting to The Crow! It's such an iconic movie, and hearing your take on it was genuinely awesome. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed it too. I'd be really interested to see your reactions to the sequel, The Crow: City of Angels, starring Vincent Perez and Mia Kirshner. I know there was some initial skepticism from fans when it was announced back in 1996, but they really did justice to Brandon's legacy by crafting a whole new storyline while also tying up loose ends from the first film. If you're game, there are a couple more films in the franchise worth exploring, though I understand they might not be everyone's cup of tea. The Crow: Salvation, featuring Eric Mabius and Kristin Dunst (who we know you're fans of), delivers its own poignant messages. Then there's The Crow: Wicked Prayer, with Edward Furlong taking on the role. While I don't recall it as vividly, it's still an intriguing addition to The Crow series. It's fascinating to see how each installment brings its own unique story to the forefront. And of course, a heartfelt tribute to Brandon Lee. His presence is truly felt throughout these films, and his departure was a loss felt deeply by many. Can't wait to catch more of your reactions! Keep up the fantastic work.

Is probably right up your alley. Then try "Gladiator". One that's sadly mostly unknown, with no one on youtube reacting to it, but you should watch it, "The Gift" from 2000. Cate Blanchette just before she was in Lord of the rings, as a southern US widowed housewife, doing "fortune telling " on the side, asked to help with a missing person case. For something different, a couple of Picar animated movies with good brains and a lot of heart: "Monsters Inc", and "Lilo and Stitch". Maybe also "Inside Out"

The second movie isn't too bad but I've heard such horrible things about the remake I feel bad for James O'Barr considering the studio told him they were going to follow the graphic novel to a t but they did the complete opposite so once again a studio screws over the creator by bastardizing his work Surprise surprise. This is why you don't touch perfection. The original Crow will always be a timeless gem of perfection. The more you try to make another one the worse they get. And now I hear they might do a all-female fight club??! Oh I swear other people's kids don't know a bad idea from a hole in the ground.

one of a kind film since it’s an Brandon Lee who shouldn’t have been taken from this world early at age 28, both Father & Son lost their lives too soon. *Following this first film came “The Crow II: City of Angels”then mini tv series remake “The Crow: Stairway to Heaven” starring Mark Dacascos but none of those other films (2-4) aren’t even comparable to the first film or tv series.* *MARK DACASCOS is the only one that portrayed the character Eric Draven with justice, this so called reboot or remake this year is trash.* The Crow 1994 The Crow II: City of Angels 1996 The Crow: Stairway to Heaven 1998-1999 (mini TV series) The Crow III: Salvation (2000) The Crow IV: Wicked Prayer (2005)

The first 2 sequels: City of Angels and Salvation, are pretty good in my opinion, but the 3rd sequel - Wicked Prayer is really bad. City of Angels follows a grown-up Sarah and a new man who becomes the Crow. Salvation has Kirsten Dunst and Fred Ward and features all-new characters. The Crow in that one is Eric Mabius, who was in the first Resident Evil movie. Top Dollar (the big bad at the end) is Michael Wincott. He's played bad guys in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Disney's the # Musketeers (With Kiefer Sutherland, Oliver Platt, Tim Curry, and Charlie Sheen.)

Pains me to have to say this but I had to lend this film to a friend of mine who had never seen it, he loved it! An amazing film that deserves to be known as a cult classic but its so very sad what happened to Brandon on set. Rest well both Bruce and Brandon

People say the sequel, The Crow: City of Angels, is bad but I think you should still watch it. The third movie, The Crow: Salvation, is optional. The fourth movie, The Crow: Wicked Prayer, is a piece of trash.

Only watch the sequels if you like really bad horror. The second one is really pretty and has a great soundtrack but it’s just flat and boring. Then they just get campier and more ridiculous. I don’t know what to expect from the remake since the sequels are so awful but I’m willing to give it a shot.

19:40 Here stands the so-called accidental tragic scene of Brandon Lee losing is life and funboy actor being forever haunted by what happened up to the time of his own death in 2016. *RIP Brandon Lee, the only son of Bruce & Lydia Lee and younger brother of Shannon Lee.*

You guys 1000% need to watch the series I will tell you it is a new main character each movie I forget the name of the guy in the second one he's British I didn't like him his kid died and he seemed less emotional than Eric the guy in three I can't think of his name right now but he was given the electric chair for allegedly killing his girlfriend when it was some dirty cops Kirsten dunst is in that one as the victim's sister who was positive that the boyfriend did The killing the fourth one was f****** star-studded for one Eddie furlong was the Crow his girlfriend I'd never seen her before but I hear that she's done a lot since but the the bad guys the head bad guy was played by David boreanaz do you guys might know from Buffy the vampire Slayer or the spin-off angel or possibly the TV show Bones his girlfriend was played by Tara Reid the girlfriend's dad was played by Danny Trejo

No need to watch the sequels. It has the same storyline. Also i hv been looking up about the remake of the crow and worried already. I hv been inlove with the crow for like forever as i am also a Bruce Lee fan. So i will defently want to watchthe son of a legend. RIP to both. Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee

First of all guys this movie is fan f****** tastic but I will tell you about the sequels it's not like in saw where you have to watch them in a certain order to understand but number two does have a character that was in the first one although that is by far my least favorite of the series my second favorite is number four which I believe was a TV movie but I have it on DVD a number three it's pretty damn good too I just didn't like number two

Only sequel that held its own was The Crow Salvation I'd love to see you watch that one. The TV series was a remake but it was kinda silly. Good part in that was the actors.
