That's how I felt about him playing Pennywise. Like, who could stand up to Tim Curry? His performance didn't diminish the importance of the originals. He just made it his own.

Action wise from the trailer it looks awesome. It has that "If John Wick gets hit by bullets" vibe. Brandon Lee is exceptional no doubt, the following sequels however made it look like the Crow did all the work rather than the person. Skarsgard will make an awesome Crow.

There's so much memorable quotes from Brandon Lee's version like "It can't rain all the time" also the scene where Eric and Officer Darryl have that moment where he talks about what happened to him and Shelly only for Eric to say "Funny, little things used to mean so much to Shelly. I used to think they were kinda trivial. Believe me, nothing is trivial." You can't get those soft touching moments without those characters and to slow the flow of the film down by making the movie trailer seem like an all around blood fest since there were moments where Eric would sit there thinking about all the good times with Shelly also him playing his guitar which that scene him on the roof of his apartment playing it busting loud on such a small roof top of his apartment building and smashing the guitar and amp. You can't get those moments by this modern adaptation.

There's so many memorable lines and scenes that this reboot I feel won't have the same emotional impact of affect like the original. While the original wasn't "great" what made it good was how sincere Eric was when he talked to two people that were a part of his life to help sort what happened to him and Shelly and to get his revenge but also do it all for the love for her. You honestly felt like he loved her without having to see every detail of their life just to little memory flashbacks through the movie Eric had. Sometimes less is more. The reboot will show a long af explanation of their love life and everything boring that we don't really need to watch or see just show us the reasons why Eric loved her not the boring aspects where how they met this and that.

Very Low budget, the terrible accident that took Brandon's life when they were not done filming, and it's still an amazing movie. This looks just bad on its own, compared to the original it looks even worse, and knowing what the original went through, this is just crap

I don't need more exploration of a relationship that is not a part of the story, it's a needless tangent, not a good thing to have. Rewatched it recently and couldn’t help but be reminded of Power Rangers level of acting ability. No disrespect to the dead but he just wasn’t that great of an actor. And having more of a backstory and seeing Shelly and Eric’s relationship will make us the audience feel more of the rage that Eric is feeling. There isn’t much to explore in the main story anyway, the original was actually a very simple plot. Always thought it was weird in the original that it took him a year to come back anyway. And the fact that we know he didn’t have his memories when he wakes up and had to discover them over the course of the movie contradicts why he would feel the need for vengeance in the first place. There’s a lot of room to correct what the original failed at

Right after he kills funboy ("you're waiting itttt") he takes the heroin out of her moms veins and tells her "mother is the name for God in the eyes of all children. Your daughter is out on those streets right now" He Genuinely cared for Sarah like she was their own kid. That's why when he grabs her from getting hit by that car while she's skating and she realizes it's him when he says it can't rain all the time... dude I can fuckin cry.

The story is originally about love and LOSS and ANGER and dealing with all these normal emotions. That's why comic Crow doesn't even really heal fast. You see damage accumulate through the story. It reflects the PAIN and WOUNDS that survivors bear. That's what it is about. Not love over anger. It is anger because of lost love.

@@yearight1205 I'm about to be 34. I've seen the original crow movie, loved it but it was really lacking without the backstory. There was no building up of their relationship and therefore I did not feel the 'love' that Eric was supposed to be fighting for. Yes I know there were flashbacks. But most were of her being killed or graped and the ones that did include them both were extremely short and inadequate in making me feel their love. Still a great movie. But I think this one will do a better job of building up that backstory first, giving the movie a lot more depth. And Bill Skarsgard is a great actor, I'm sure he will kill it. Obviously it can't replace the original, but I think it will still be good. And yes, it is based on the comic books. And yes, I have seen Hollywood remake everything under the sun with most remakes being horrible and coming up short. I don't think this will be one of them though. It seems like every Hollywood movie just looks so lazy these days. They couldn’t even try to use different quality cameras to make the film have a style to it, much less make it black and white. Nothing. Even a child could make this movie look better

I would want a retelling but this one feels generic. It lacks the unique tone the original gave. I was hoping for something atmospheric even if it shouldn't be similar to the original. @@martybalamb4174 People will always hate remakes, simply for it not being identical to the original. Especially for a cult classic like the crow. No matter how good this movie turns out. There will be people hating on it or even full on refusing to watch it for that reason.

My thoughts exactly. The wife hasn’t seen the crow yet and I haven’t watched it in awhile. We’ll watch the original and pass on this.

Well this is an adaptation of the comic "The Crow: Wild Justice", do not compare it with Brandon Lee's version, this movie is not trying to be a Remake or something like that.

IMO, the Original Crow spawned multiple sequels, to me this is just another sequel.
