This movie, the graphic novel but especially Brandon Lee’s phenomenal performance as Eric Draven have been so much a fundamental part of my heart & my very being🖤I have the original VHS tape I got as a teen; & have also got the score, the soundtrack & the DVD BluRay & digital copies along with an extensive collection of memorabilia including a bust of Brandon’s face; multiple ltd edition paintings & artwork my friends have made me - and almost every single figure ever made; I’ve also got the special edition of the Graphic Novel Which helped me when I lost the love of my life in a terrible car accident when he was only 22 & I was 25- suddenly i had a whole new perspective & loved it even more. Then when I suddenly became severely disabled, housebound & diagnosed with multiple rare incurable autoimmune diseases, my friends gifted me my The Crow collection & I even have original 90s hoodie & t-shirt with Brandon as The Crow that I’ve kept in pristine condition. The quotes & wise words in Brandon’s interview have comforted me & helped me cope with my conditions, and I take nothing in life for granted “nothing is trivial” so very true. And when I think of a time that is so much a fundamental part of my being that I cannot conceive of myself without it- it is Brandon’s inimitable role as Eric Draven & The Crow “yet it all seems limitless..” I have several Crow tattoos so that when I have to go to hospital for tests; and have to remove my piercings & clothes & feel stripped bare & afraid, my tattoos bring me comfort & remind me of Brandon’s fearlessness & make me feel more brave - and nothing & nobody can ever take that from me. I have never & will never ever watch anything pertaining to call itself The Crow- as to me it’s an insult to Brandon’s memory & legacy🖤🥀for myself & so very many others there is only One Eric Draven & One Crow both are & always will be Brandon🙏🏼thank you Shannon for all that you are & all that you do keeping your beloved brother & father’s legacies alive - I and so very many others appreciate you & your amazing mom for your tireless hard work over all these years & keeping Brandon & Bruce alive not only in your heart & actions but in the hearts of so many like me who are eternally grateful 🖤🫶🏼& who adore their incredible HeArtistry, philosophies & keep them alive in our hearts, thoughts & actions & shall forever hold this masterpiece in the highest regard. Sorry for your loss, your collection is awesome, glad the movie/novel helps you in life. I know when I feel down, etc I watch his father's movies to get mind right Brandon was just such a pure cool good dude...love watching his interviews. I never get sentimental when celebraties pass away. It's only a shocker but when the news came on and saw that Brandon Lee had passed away, my heart just sank and I was feeling so down. It really broke my heart. This movie is my all-time best. I really hope the new one does justice to this cult classic. They should bring this back to the big screen in tribute.
