I have listened to a number of youtube versions of this and Ms. Champion is by far the best. She has a beautiful full voice and an ability to put forward every bit of emotion required by this song. Wonderful recording.
At the cry of the first bird They began to crucify Thee, O Swan! Never shall lament cease because of that It was like the parting of day from night Ah, sore was the suffering borne By the body of Mary's Son But sorer still to Him was the grief Which for His sake Came upon His mother
absolutely stunning!! your vowels, tone, consonants, breath support, dynamics, intonation, and musicality were all on point!! a great model of this beautiful song. aside from small rhythm errors, it was so stunning! well done!! :)
darren motise I assume you're likely in middle or high school right? Nothing wrong with that, keep that critical ear, BUT She's preforming, not competing. If she was competing and there was a judge with the sheet music, that would matter. As it is, she I'd preforming, and its more important that it sounds GOOD, rather than sounding "accurate." Just keep that in mind if you plan on preforming in any capacity in the future :)
darren motise Its possible, and very likely, you have a different version of this song. I think she's singing the one in the First Book of Soprano Solos, because she did the exact rhythm from that, if a bit rushed.
