The CSS/UPSC Obsession: Why everybody wants to do CSS? ہر پاکستانی نوجوان سی ایس ایس کیوں کرنا چاہتا ہے؟ #css #upsc #competitiveexams #fpsc #PPSC #csspakistan
Not only CSS, but millions in our country are also obsessed with MBBS, not to serve humanity, but to earn money and self-esteem while looting the poor.
This is a myth. Most of the doctor's dont earn enough money. They work alot but still get paid less. You're talking about just a small percentage of very famous doctors.
@@shahrukhmalik1421 Yeah, but without no reason, irrespective of child's personal aims and aspirations, parents want their children to become doctors citing job security

It’s called IAS ( Indian Administrative Service) in India, Muzzamil. UPSC is little Lower than IAS. Craze of civil services has lost its charm in India these days. IT/Biz admin career sells now a days.
how ignorant of Mr Patil !! UPSC is the apex body responsible for selection of all senior central government officers including IAS, IPS, and military officers.
Lost craze of civil service can be judged that in 2014- 5 lakh graduates appeared for civil service examination and in 2019- 10 lakh graduates appeared. Earlier craze has got totally crazy !!
Dude you are a gem of Pakistan 🇵🇰💜 Wish all of your videos should be made part of curriculum in Pakistani schools, colleges and universities 👍👍👍 Lots of love, support and prayers 🙏
Muzammil brother, You analysis is wonderful as always. The best thing in your analysis is that it is based upon facts and logic, may God enable you to enlighten the community and humanity.
@@AA-qf4jd Why don't you highlight those good points?? How even you think about that when people in both countries have living in under poverty , without medical help and increasing crime
Very true and valid arguments Muzammil Bhai. Literally everyone who has said to me that they want to do CSS when I ask them why, their reply is 'Bharam bada hota hay, police walo kay sath protocol milta hay' if is the attitude of the most of the people who apply for CSS then it says it all about our Civil Services.
Bro..this is very true.. I am from INDIA and you are 100% true about the upsc. Lakhs of people every year appears for Civil Services for Status. Toughest exam in India.
Not true, all states are equally mad. Bihari are generally more inclined to govt job because private sector is in samble in bihar. Even tcs wipro don't have office in bihar so why will anyone aspire to become private sector employee.
@great humankind bihar is not bimar. Bihar in this condition because of Central government and other state leader betrayed bihar stabbed at their back. Freight Equalization Policy of 1952 that completely destroyed bihar. Division in 1999 jharkhand - bihar. 1950-1990 very small amount goes to bihar . Congress has destroy bihar completely. Even punjab getting more money than bihar. Before 1947 zamindari system that is only happen in bangal, bihar. Read history kid before barking anything Mf congress destroyed bihar completely.
@@dineshjaiswal3120 what about bihari? Bihari are most hardworking people on planet earth and most kind people. Land where mahavira, bhodha walk. The only fault of bihari is we trusted delhi and they stabbed us on our back abuses us, destroyed our state , discriminated us, stollen our resources , stollen our money. Only mistake bihar didn't is we never thought we will get betrayed by our own people likes you. If India has so much problem with bihar then give our money back that you stole from us. When time come to help us we are bimaru state? Do you people even have a slightest shame.
As a bihari i can confirm that this is an obsession in Bihar mostly. Rest states I've lived for years and not found this obsession. However in Bihar, the reasons are same as this video explains
CSS, MBBS and engineering. Pakistani parents and society are just obsessed with these 3 professions and a majority of people suffer all life due to this.
To be very honest. Is mehngae k dor main, Pakistan jese mulk main ek educated insan jise private jobs main over work or thori c salary milti ha. To agr insan qabil ha or educational background strong ha to Css/pms or koe b govt job behtar option ha. Insan khud bhuka mr rha ho to insaniat ki khidmat kaha se krega. Ap ye baten arm se krskte hn qk apka choona RU-vid p successful ha or income bhi arhi ha. Garib, intelligent or mehnti bchon k leay css acha option ha. Pait bhara ho or kmra aram dah ho to inqlabi baten bht achi lgti hn mazrat k sath.
1Getting street cred of accomplishing something that is extremely difficult for others. 2.Getting perks ( concept of free car, free petrol, free phone, free house etc) 3.Getting otherwise straight forward things done through your connections 3. Ability to bless your near ones by your sifarish (سفارش (अनुशंसा)) The above things are the main drivers for most people in desi world to make progress in life. In slang lingo of Pakistan term used for this is Toorr (ٹور). Not sure what it is called in India? BTW the CSS obsession is absent in Karachi as they are shut out due to quota. But people of karachi pursue same above things through other ways...
In Pak, symbol statuses are being a military officer, MBBS and CSS officer. And these professions r very very tough for a guy belongs to a lower or middle class family .
It reminded me of my early classes in 1973 at NED Govt. Engineering College. The number of entry was 300 of which 200 were on academic merit. Five seats were for sportsmen. Our head of Deptt. of Humanities, Mrs. Mirza used to ask why we have opted to be Engineers. All came up with the usual answers. Passion, parents wish etc. When it came to a sportsman he was frank. "Madam, I came here for the same reason why everyone else is here. I need money to survive. "
Bureaucracy is marred with corruption and red-tapism and is deeply rooted with the colonial mindset.I hope this changes in India, which I am seeing happening today. However, there are a handful of honest bureaucrats likes of Ashok khemka. Whatever you said is 100% apt.
Same in India , joining bureaucracy is good only if you want to genuinely serve the nation instead of getting served. The babus of India don't even work , projects getting delayed each year , extremely slow work. But modi government is promoting entrepreneurship and startups which include space startups too.
Bilkul sahi kaha bhai 😓 Hamari countries me aam Aadmi ko bahut buri tarah se rakha jata h aur wo sirf apni self respect ke liye hi competitive exam deta h... I'm from 🇮🇳
Guys wants to be heard, they want to be listened, entertained. These are the driving force, and this is what coaching centers sells to the students, and they think it's their dream.
I must say it has somewhat changed in india. Upsc dreams of many are due to the urge to change the status quo. How successful they are in the system is due to see. Moreover, currently being an entrepreneur is on a craze now.
Not really, it seems larger because of the huge youth population we have, if you sun up it turns out be very minimal percent and recency bias of shark tank.
Civil service exams only exist in third world countries, where there was previous colonial rule,as beaureucrats were selected to act as representatives of colonial masters.....How can a doctor, who studied 5 yrs in mbbs end up in police service of Pakistan,it is great injustice to this country where the doctor to patient ratio is 1 doctor upon 1000 patients,we are in dire need of doctors, and these doctors are joining police and foreign services of which they have no knowledge about,if these self centered ppl are saying that they are doing it to serve people,I think doctors serve humanity million times more than a csp,who is just there for pomp and show, just to get salutes, but these people don't understand that the respect of a doctor is already much more than that of Police officer.
no its changing in india since 2014...modi govt appointed more than 300 officers from around corporate sectors in the capacity above join secretary..thats why the number of vaccancies are decreasing...
You are right Muzammil ji Your understanding of the history is absolutely right especially regarding Civil Services / Administrative Services. Hats off to you. You have captured the reality very accurately.
@@VimdhayakJiOP nah. reality hai ki feudal society hai, to isme survive aur thrive karne ka best tareeka to yahi hai na ki power corridor mein shaamil ho- uske liye mere aukaat ki cheez civil services hi hain abhi to.
Man, you are confused and are confusing the younger generation, may be because you are not succeeding in your efforts. The western nations have a different culture that began long time back. People in those nations are well off today, that started decades ago. Bill Gate is a son of a well off family and he did not have to worry about his life and food bill, So he quit school to develop Microsoft. Elon Musk comes from a very rich family. In short people who are creating companies and jobs are well off and not someone from the street. People competing for IAS and PCS are doing so because they are looking for job security more and not to become proud or making their parents proud. Pakistan will have to get above its dumb Maulanas. No religions minority is leading India and Indians. Yes they have to get over poverty to begin creating wealth. People from poor countries like India are worried about their survival and security. As they become secured, the younger generation will become entrepreneur. Are you not seeing how Indians are leading American technical industries? It is a question of time only. Indians are are already on their path of prosperity. If you want to talk of their IAS and PCS, they too are needed in the bureaucracy.

You are right that we should question why privileges and employment opportunities are not available in other sectors. The whole country cannot go into bureaucracy and army only. Every profession has value in society and every profession is required. Humans are diverse beings and everyone specialises in something. We cannot think the same and we shouldn't. Diversity needs to be appreciated. It's time we stop forcing Pakistani youth to go for 2 or 3 professions only. The world is vast. And so should be our dreams.

Still CSS esp PAS is the shortest path to become multi millionaire even billionaire. When a low grade official like patwari makes unimaginable fortunes what to expect of higher officials. Additionally they get high connections and power which are must for a good life in a martial society like ours. So CSS still is very relevant and attractive for youth.

This CSS obsession just shows that agar ap ke paas danda nahi hai toh aap ko basic human respect nahi milay gi. Signs of a broken social system ... and it's not related to our financial or political status. Hamari aam awaam chutiya hai.
Even my father wants me to do this but I'm not giving in. IAs/PCs ki logon mie izzat hoti hai but then they way illiterate politicians treats them is so humiliating. But hats off to all aspirants. Their soft skills is much better than us. I mean in terms of accepting failures after failures.
These are the arguments I used to have with my elders as a teenager. Of course, no one ever listened. And after enough time passes, it becomes impossible to carry the burden of opposition alone- because to talk sense in this society is to be completely and utterly alone.
Bhai css pass ho ya na ho lekin aik clerk government job meli jay tu life perfect hai or ab pakistan or India government clerk pe nahi meli thi tu kya kare tell me? Thank you for such an educational video. Unfortunately in Pakistan, importance of having connections is more important than ever before but not as much as its going to be in the future. Money alone is not sufficient nowadays for a law abiding citizen to get a fair deal, connections have 70% and money has 30% to do with whether you get treated fairly. For example, I've been trying to renew my CNIC and driving license for the past several months, not trying to do anything illegal, yet couldn't do it as I do not have connections and every time I'm told to fulfil more requirements. People with connections, get such things delivered to their homes.
Ok so what abt those who really have this passion of gaining knowledge through CSS preparation? What abt those who actually want input in policy making of their country with genuine intrest… of course behind every act there are personal motives but kuch log is salute n previlges se kaheen barh k Sochi smjh k CSS ki prepration krty hain … you are giving extremely one side narrative… ap k narrative mein shak nhi hai lekin Dosri side b logon ko dikhayen… just bcx aapko intrest nhi hai doesn’t mean it’s not worth it… aap ne kaha international relations m intrest nhi hta world politics mein Nahi Hoya etc etc… Sir Jin candidates ko intrest nhi hta wo CSP bantay bhi Nahi hain…CSS k subjects tou hain hi yehe.. ye candidate’s pehly exam prep karty then interview preparation… into stages se nikal kar yahan tak aaty k foreign service ya police etc m jayen…. Not everyone is the way you think! Many people are living their dream job in CSS … jahan tak baki fields ki jobs ki baat hai tou Pakistan mein aam awaaam jobs nikaaly gi ya govt?? Candidates who do CSS are not just doing CSS, ye log apni field jobs mein sath sath apply b kar rahy hotay hain aur they are just giving their best for every opportunity..,, Let me tell you one thing CSS aspirant is the one who is not going for shortcuts and just salutes…agar usy yehe chaiye ho tou itnay papar kyun Bailey, itnaa parhy kyun?? Kch aur kam na karlay Sir without getting mind plx ponder on these points too…. Thanks😌
