jefferson agyekum I ran around my whole neighbourhood and I was shouting "WE'RE THE CHAMPIONS!!!! Champions, champions!!!" And I was singing: "We're the only London team with a Euro cup!!! Take that the rest of you London mugs!!" Unforgettable night. What a year overall it was anyway!
Back (yet again) watching in 2021. Fifty years a fan...from the pain of relegation ('79), from the pain of losing 3-2 to spurs in FA Cup 1/4 final ('82), from the pain of 2008...to the absolute joy of this. I cried when we won, I still have tears in my eyes every time I watch this, I am not ashamed of that. I'm just like Cundy, a true blue. KTBFFH
I and my uncle broke down our door while celebrating this win, it meant everything to us… I always come back to watch this clip to remember him… keep resting in peace uncle ❤
I was 14, on some random guy’s shoulders in the pub crying and holding a lucky Fernando Torres action figure over my head. Lifted it up after Muller scored and didn’t let it down. Drogba scored, Cech saved from Robben, and we came back in the penalties. People were kissing the action figure. Best night of my life.
I was a freshman when I watched this final. I screamed the heck out of my lungs. Woke the entire dorm up. Life as chelsea fan is good, man. This is good memory.
Years and years of watching Chelsea this was the most roll-coaster season I have ever experienced. The full ranges of emotion - optimism, frustration, anger, bewilderment, pained acceptance, hope, anticipation, excitement, euphoria, triumphalism. There will never be another like it
Even mata who missed, mikel, bosingwa, torres, kalou, and all others who ddnt take a pen, bertrand who was debuting in UCL, JT, Meireles, Ramirez and Ivanovic who were suspended, RDM who was our manager, the staff, Roman literally we should remember all people who made it happen all the way to the final
Cech for me had the biggest impact in the UCL that year the amount of saves he had against both Barca and Bayern was unreal Robben could have decided that game with the Penalty even tho Drogba caused it i have never said a bad word about that play thats the impact Drogba has on this club oh man Cech and Drogba should get a statue at the club for that game alongside Lampard and Terry My personal greatest ever Chelsea players ara Cech A.Cole Terry Lampard Drogba These 5 were the key to everything Im so glad to Arsenal for selling A.Cole to us Many people dont see A.Cole in the same picture as Cech Terry Lampard Drogba But for me he is in that list 100%
This wonderful moment is about to repeat itself again and this time, it's gonna be an outright win for Chelsea FC. Good luck to us in the UCL finals 2021.
I live in New Zealand so me and my Dad went to the local british run pub at 6am and watched it along with about 30 other brits in taht New Zealand pub. We got on the piss all day after that match goddam what a memory
David Mcque I was there that night, never went to the game but had to at least be in Munich for it. My hotel was just outside of Munich and for some silly reason there was no trains running after the game. I just remember staggering around Munich pissed as a cunt lol.
I'm going through a tough time at the mo so have decided to re live the greatest moment of my life to cheer myself up. Been watching clips of the win all morning and this is one of my favourites. Such a great night
I live in Greece where almost everyone is a fucking Liverpool fan. I remember screaming at a pub like crazy when drogba scored and then I went to my house to watch the penalty shoot out and when frog a scored I start crying. Still after 4 years the favorite night of my life!!
I can't believe this was 10 years ago, i mean you can still feel the hype of that night until now. This just shows how really special that night for us as Chelsea fans. Keep the blue flag flying high ! 🔵
This why when I knew I was so much in Love with Chelsea FC. Tears of joy rolled down my cheeks and 10years later tears of joy still roll down these same cheeks when I watched it again on RU-vid. I knew the love for the club has never died. Love ❤️ you Chelsea.
What a night. After this game I officially retired from watching emotionally. Somehow, rooting for Messi brought me back recently but happy that's over too. Have even watched this clip like over ten years ago but it feels fresh now. The memories of that tense evening watching this game feels like yesterday. What a happy night it was
