Poor Cubans, spending the whole day looking for a line to buy some food for their family, in the midst of so many frivolous tourists.
@sergio.wenkroy
Too much text on video....annoying

With all reason the common people of the town now in Cuba say: *WE PREFER BATISTA WITH BLOOD, THAN FIDEL WITH BLOOD AND WITHOUT FOOD.
@JackNBoots
I get frustrated when I have to read and watch at the same time, I feel like I'm missing a lot. Narration would help your video A LOT! Just trying to be helpful. It looked like it would have been a good walk around. But I'll never know.

Someday, Havana, when Cuba is free from Castro's tyranny, will regain the splendor it had before 1959 and will be able to get rid of that ruinous image of misery that it offers to the world today.

Not to speak of repressing dissent.

Remember those who say they plan to visit Cuba, when they leave the hotel, leave with the Cubans who work there, the soap, the toilet paper and all the things in their lodging that they are going to stop using, because they are in need of all these products since they cannot acquire them in Cuba
@alexanderrodriguez6755
my uncle was actually the mayor of this city once. My family heritage goes back 200 years. We lost everything. The culture of Cuba has evolved, too. In my fathers time, cuba was like a southern state. Most of the power was in the hands of the white Spanish Cubans. There was some forms of segregation among social gatherings, but not as bad as the USA.

Guys if you come visit the carribean, please do not walk around recording people- if your camera stays on the wrong person for too long you could be in serious danger

I was a student, lived in Havana in big nice 3 floors house in 1990 summer, my father was working as economics advisor in Russian embassy in Havana . It was dangerous to power on TV sets late nights at home, cause there were local KGB Cuba agents driving on cars and looking who was watching TV Marti from Florida))..And sure , lambada sounds 24/7

I was in Habana the year 1993... Nothing has changed. Cuban people are very friendly and like to talk with foreign visitors.
@kathbradley
went on cruise and stopped at havana, what a majestic country it must have been, the buildings must have been so beautiful in their day such a shame, I did find it a bit frightening but glad we did not miss it

Ich war 1996 da und war begeistert. In meiner Fantasie sehe ich all diese alten Gebaeude restauriert vor mir - gepaart mit all diesen vintage Autos. Ein absoluter Traum. Ich vermisse Kuba.

Having travelled a great deal, I always walked the back streets to find out about the place. This was an exceptional piece of work , felt like I was there. Bravo
@ComoDicenPuntoCom
I like your narration, it was on spot. Your data was true and correct. You didn't sugar coat it at all. I watched another RU-vidr travel to Cuba and give $25 Pesos Cubanos to a young man for acting as his tour guide. Everyone in the comments praised him for giving the guy $25 Pesos, then later down video a lady sells him some peanuts on the street. She asked him for $25 Pesos Cubanos for those peanuts. The meaning of this story is that everyone praised this guy for having given $25 pesos for his work as a tour guide when in fact he was giving the guy "chump" change for his efforts. This is the sad reality of the Cuban people, but some day they will be free and Cuba will be the beacon of the Caribbean once more. Thank you for your video.

hasta 1959 Cuba fue la estrella de america latina y el caribe y ver estas calles me rompe el alma un abrazo desde la republica =until 1959 Cuba was the start of Latin America and the Caribbean just watching the condition it is today break my soul 1 love from the Dr

Myself and my wife visited Cuba several time many years ago. I went in cold, when even Australian travel agents didn't know how to get there. I was told that there were no direct flights to cuba, but this is untrue. At 0000hrs every night, there is a direct flight from Havana to Miami (a fact that I found out from a friendly travel agent in Havana). Loved the place, loved the people and their resilience, made some good friends, some of who later escaped by boat from Havana to Miami, and still maintain this friendship to this day. It sure is a different way of life, and the people certainly do it hard. I could write a paper on my experiences, they have been so extensive in this beautiful place!
