The cult movie written in 2 DAYS! - Track of the Moon Beast (1976) 

Mark's ability to insert himself into movies has grown by leaps and bounds. It's only a matter of time before we see him as Julia Child in _The French Chef,_ making a tasty dish out of chicken, corn, green peppers, chili... sigh... onions....

This episode was made entirely of chicken...corn...green peppers...chili...(sigh) onions....

Mystery Science Theater made every joke they could about this damn movie and it still wasn't enough ridicule😊"SMILE, Paul's ass!"

The background music on all of these videos has become so iconic to me. I hear it, and I just know im watching something special. These videos are so medicinal.

What I love about camping: the fresh air, feeling closer to nature, and just getting away from society in general. Cons: I'm camping.

Johnny being a part of every scene yet utterly superfluous to the story is hilarious. The character gives off real writer/director stand-in energy. I am just amazed he isn't wearing a black tanktop.

Mark as the Fish Lipped Guy killed me! I was not expecting that as the in-movie segment.

One of my all time favourite MST3K episodes. So goofy, so phoned in, so bad it's good.

2 seconds in and I’m already giggling in anticipation of a Mark-in-the-movie segment. FUN FACT: My street name is North Dakota Lady.

I love the scene in the police station,where Mark is saying (over the actual dialogue):”He was killed by a dinosaur?That’s gonna be a lot of paperwork.I’m not even sure if we have forms for that.”

I just want to thank this show for introducing me to so many wonderful bad movies Troll 2, Samurai Cop, The Room, Star Crash, The Apple and a few good ones like the original Wicker Man from 1973.

Sadly, this was the last written story for the late Bill Finger (the guy who co-created Batman). He passed away in 1974.

Mark knows that when he says "Too" everyone hits the like button in a Pavlovian action.

Now that was one high-energy concert scene - the audience was really gettin' into it. Another awesome review, Mark. Thank You for all the suffering you go through for us.

One of my favorite MST3K episodes, and one of my favorite one liners ("Smile, Paul's ass!") Also, the writer of this movie was Bill Finger, who was the co-creator or Batman.

I’m pretty sure this entire movie was filmed in New Mexico and I definitely remember it being something of a staple on local NM television from the late-70s through early-80s. I first watched it when I was around 7 years old and it was the scariest movie that I was allowed to watch up to that point in my childhood. I definitely remember the film inspiring a few nightmares, which were far scarier than the actual film itself.

Finally, Mark gets to experience the magic of learning the ingredients of Johnny Longbow's stew.

Skin cancer run had me laughing! Apparently, the actor knew he was making a movie and only going to be there briefly to act out his scene, so no sun block, sunglasses, etc. were necessary... 😁

My sister had this on an old DVD collection, so we watched it one night and laughed our heads off. We made the recipe the next day dinner.

I love how @ 1:00, the guy is delicately excavating and dusting off bones, and then proceeds to slam a shovel in the same area where the bones are at!

I watch this MST3K episode when I'm feeling sick. It magically makes me feel better. It's like...sure, I feel all cruddy, but at least I didn't make this movie.

Lol even when you do the in character interludes that go on for too long it's still somehow right. It just makes them funnier. More than once I've thought "ok that's enough" then start laughing again. I really like how much effort you put into the costumes on them lately. They might be my favorite part of these but then again I love the whole format

mst3k made it a masterpiece! Whenever I need a laugh, I turn on the mst3k version of it.

I literally laughed so hard when you acted like the singer! I was not expecting that!

I love how the poster is doing what the film couldn't: have an awesome, muscular beast. In the movie they have a crappy beast suit and a buff dude who's inexplicably taking his shirt off because it's the best they could do with no budget. In the poster we see them as we were meant to, combined!

Oh man, that transformation scene was right up there with An American Werewolf in London. Bravo.

Oh god, I remember this from MST3K, watched it within the past year with my dad. The concert cameo you put yourself in was hilarious, although I do want to point out the one dude in the audience resembles Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead.

This movie was filmed very close to where I live! It's shot in Albuquerque, or the areas around it. I've considered trying to hunt down the film locations before. There are a lot of reservations around ABQ though, and I honestly have no idea which rez was involved here or if I'd be allowed to visit.

My eldest son lives in Albuquerque (where this movie was filmed). He can ride a motorcycle. He's a zookeeper in the local reptile exhibit and he's obsessed with dinosaurs. He has three pet monitor lizards in his apartment, and he dates a blond girl. He's basically the real life Paul, just waiting to metamorphose.

Dude, seriously. You make RU-vid a better place. Always jazzed to see a new video. And you nailed the worst part about camping, it's feeling grimy after the first night. Definitely spoiled by modern living in that regard.

i love the woods. i can always tell when someone is a newbie to the woods when they fear all noise caused by creatures. your fine when you hear the cacophony. silence is when you should be on edge. idk something calming knowing there are all these animals i cant see around me.

Mark, just wanted to say that your creativity and effort on this platform have been appreciated by myself and no doubt plenty others over the years. Ive been watching your content for 6 or 7 years now and your sense of humour and understanding of as well as passion for film is spot on and its a strange time that we live in that I feel to a certain extent that I’ve grown up with you, despite only watching the youtube videos you put out. Dont get me wrong I’m 38 and I would wager at least a couple years older than you but the point stands.😁 This last year in particular has been a bit of a shitstorm for me and yet I’ve always found a laugh and from time to time learned something about the film making process simply from watching the increasingly entertaining film commentaries you put together. Apologies for the ramble but thought it only right I say that you’re an absolute fucking diamond of a bloke and you should be proud of the work you put out.

Great Video as per usual Mark! I concur to the other comments about Mark's skills with inserting himself into thr videos. I've always loved it, and Mark if you manage to see this (doubtful) please, 🙏 ,please, do it more often and longer skits when you do! All these cheesy old films and or Neil Breen movies all seem to have super long odd cuts where you could do great jokes in those pauses!
