There is a income tax calculator on the capfriendly website. The difference isn’t as big as people think. For every million the difference is about $70,000 between Edmonton and Florida

One of the TSN reporters pointed out Canadian teams make the finals in close proportion to the number of Cdn teams in the NHL. The problem has been they haven't been winning. Which brings up grumblings about Bet-man and officiating, etc.

Last podcast he repeatedly said "The only team that can beat the Oilers, is the Oilers." That doesn't sound too down on the team to me. Yeah, it's a cautionary tone, but that's justified.

I agree but Bruce was way more negative than the Dave here. These guys always talk down the oilers abilities and exaggerate their opponents leading into a series. They seem to need real data from real games to give a more balanced assessment.

I don't see D&B as negative at all. I find them balanced and frank in pointing out possible weaknesses. They don't seem to lack data either; the numbers they give is a strong point of the podcast, like the Nurse-Ceci numbers. If I were a player, I'd want to know where to improve my game. I wonder how many Oiler players actually listen to this and other podcasts. Before that, Dave outlined the relentless Panzer blitzkrieg (forecheck), and ended up saying the Oilers are equipped with the personnel to beat it. That's negative???
