Getting hyped for CoA again… I wonder, what is the leveling rate expected to be like for the release? What would you compare it to? I haven’t played since phase 2 beta, but one of my problems was I wanted to play EVERYTHING(class) and there just isn’t time for it of course. 😂
Just went back on coa for the first time since the talent trees and holy crap what a 180 coa has taken. Appreciate all of y’all’s work this feels like a very different experience. Me and the boys are getting the M+ group back together!
What if, instead of just killing you at 100 insanity, you lost control of your character for 15 seconds and become hostile for all, and then die. (maybe disabled in cities)
This might be a weird question but do you guys have any plans to incentivize players being focused on one primary server during certain time frames? I would like to play on both coa and elune, but if everybody's playing coa cuz it's the new hotness, i feel the most logical result would be to end up with elune being a ghost town.
Would love a Arcane Summon class, think Karazhan arcane mobs being summoned with the mage firing arcane missiles into the summons to unleash arcane explosions and unleashing arcane orbs.
Cultist would be doper if it's melee dps would be a cloth wearer, fits more the aesthetic. The occult opposite to a paladin. There is nothing occult about wearing a full set of plate, that's more like a paladin. Its like a Death knight but instead of undead its old gods.
I'm curious why you chose to use the new talent system vs the older classic talent system. Was there something specific you wanted to take advantage of?
Feels little odd the old god of death is the healer spec. Wish to know the reason why you chose Yogg for healer. I would have thought Yogg would been either melee dps or tank.
This class is so sweet. I don't know if you guys need anymore inspiration at this point, because you're doing a good job, but the tank spec gives me BIG Chaos 'Chosen' Tank vibes from Warhammer Online... but with appropriate Warcraft flavor. Definitely one of the most badass looking classes in that game. One thing that was cool about them was their auras, which were kinda like inverted Paladin auras, because y'know, they're evil warped knights. Debilitating curse auras would definitely fit the vibe of the Dreadnought Cultist! Maybe even some stacking effects the longer enemies stay near them.
Bruh i feel like i saw this class as a dream 6 years ago, when i used to enjoy theorycrafting dnd homebrew classes and subclasses. Also this class feels like what Death Knight could of been if Blizzard had cared enough about it to expand the class fantasy beyond just focusing on it being a melee class with some casting but focused more on the necromancy aspect of the fantasy.
so cool. no idea how you guys are ever going to balance this when it releases though. seems like a task for a pretty big team. especially now that every class has 3 unique and in depth specs.
you can buy access to it on classles with gold. idk the prices now but when I did that it cost me like maybe 3 hours of gold farming by just killing random trash and selling everything in places like ungoro crater and zul farak
Cultist is my prediction for most played class come release. Not that I'm saying people shouldn't play it , just that they should be aware that if they do they'll be competing with lots of other cultists for raid spots
