'Promote the Culture of Goalkeeping'
Christy O'Connor is a hugely respected journalist and a fantastic coach and player in addition to this. He has been involved with numerous senior inter county groups including Clare, Galway, Dublin and Cork as well as being an All-Ireland winning club goalkeeper. Here, Christy delivers a goalkeeping masterclass in Ballygunner GAA Club at the Déise Óg South East Coaching Workshop in 2016. Christy challenges the 'conventional wisdom' when it comes to goalkeeper coaching with lots of practical suggestions for club coaches to implement. He challenges coaches to think about how they can bring the principles he covers into their own training sessions and to think about using their most skilful player between the sticks.
