King Dice (in video game) : *- is voiced by a female actor* *- is Satan's right hand man* *- just guards worlds while singing* *- is despised by his boss* *- progressively revealed to be the second main villain while acting being friendly* *- is fought as one of the bosses* King Dice (in Cartoon) :
I kind feel sorry for him ngl. Dice did everything he could in order to get Cuphead through that door and almost succeeded despite Cuphead suffering from the typical Spongebob syndrom. The only reason he lost was because Cuphead's plot armor had to literraly blow the dice up and flatten him with elder Ketlle's lucky tire which also helped Cuphead to escape.
I love how smug he is, the faces he makes, his voice, his character, definitely my favorite character from this. I need to see more of the Devil and Dice's #1 dynamic, it's just so fun. He *HAS* to appear in season 2, or like someone else mentioned, we *riot.*
During cuphead’s turn in the rounds, I feel like king dice was thinking the entire time ‘Oh my god. I found an idiot’ Edit: Thanks for the likes. This is the most likes I've gotten on a comment.
I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if king dice gets the brothers out of jail by making them an offer they can’t refuse just to get back in the Devil’s good graces and then be his number one again
Fun fact: Each opposite face of a six sided die will add up to seven (for example the opposite side of the three face will be a four). If you look at a shot of the back of King dice's head, it's a six, meaning that King Dice's face must be a one. That's why he has one circular purple nose
Okay on 4:12 and afterward I got a lot of Chowder vibes, because it's something they kinda also did, having 2d characters in the real world platform. It's just appealing to me.
@@cynsnailz it's about a purple cat-bear-rabbit, don't ask, kid living in India with his master chef trying to be a master chef too. And the show's staff loves to break the fourth wall.
I have a theory: Maybe since Cuphead cost King Dice his show, the reason he didn't appear again is because off-screen, he was building the Devil's Casino, because that's how the Devil made him repent
You know what, you might actually be right, since the carnEVIL was destroyed and dice obviously needed a way to get back into good graces with the devil he could build the casino as it could take more souls than his gameshow
Although this show trying not to be serious or too heavily on story I do think their planting seedlings for a bigger story I have a feeling this to build up king dice rage in these two
i certainly hope there’s a more overarching story hidden between these episode’s building plot lines and episodes!! shows like gravity falls and such have done that so well in the past and it would be so cool to see netflix do that with cuphead
I'm quite the opposite on this: while I don't mind if theres going to be references to past episodes here and there. I actually hope the Cuphead show stays more episodic. Assuming the next 3 seasons stick with the same amount of episodes with the same amount of run time: A overaching story will end up feeling messy and or rushed rather then achieving what Gravity Fall or Adventure time did imo. (At least Gravity Falls had longer episodes and many shorter stuff thrown in the mix, and Adventure Time had tripple the amount of seasons and more episodes to work with) just throwing in my thoughts on this ^^;
Imagine King Dice being the main villain instead of the Devil? Like after he was kicked out, he ended being filled with a lot of rage and want for revenge against Cuphead and the Devil. Cuphead for getting him fired and the Devil for firing him and being a horrible employer despite everything he's done for him.
@@medusathedecepticon Maybe that's where a casino comes in. It may not be like the game but his own Casino with the mini-bosses employees that you get during his fight
When devil says to king dice ''Your no longer my number one.'' That actually hurted my feelings and i feel so much bad for king dice. I really hate the devil now ngl
Makes me wonder if Devil planned to use other die who were better equipped for example DND 20 die and stuff I can't be bothered to list off the various other dies.
alana bridgewater is such a talented woman!! it’s so incredible that his original va was her, wayne brady is doing an amazing job as well. i was a lil reluctant when finding out dice was getting a new voice but i love what brady’s doing for the role :))
His voice actually fits him so much for a cartoon that looks like it came from the 1950s- Also its funny since some girls simp for a dice 💀 And i agree for the other comments.. he needs to appear in season 2
I wish they'd make King Dice a little bit more intimidating, I liked his narcissistic attitude but it just felt out of character seeing how easily he lost control over the situation when Cuphead entered scene I mean, in game he's not just one of the final bosses, but one of the most ambitious and powerful too. He's also supposed to know a handful of magic but we don't see him, or any other boss that appeared on the series (besides the Devil, which I actually really liked seeing how he can be goofy and scary at the same time) use their respective powers. I don't know... Maybe on the second season well get a little bit more of "action"? After all, it was the innovative fighting style, charismatic bosses and great difficulty what gave Cuphead it's well deserved popularity in the first place
I totally agree with you. He was scary in the game. He is ambitious and he has a lot of magic powers. He's very OP and I suspect that they changed him because KD can steal the spotlight to the devil and the others. I like him in the cartoon (he's funny and charming), but I prefer him in the game (he's confident, ambitious, intelligent and powerful, he loves the caos of his casino, he love to "roll the dices" and to risk his own life, and you can see how much he loves his job because he constantly smile and laughs even when you beat every minions and face him in battle).
This was probably the only episode I LOVED of the entire show. The other episodes weren't as great as this one. But yeah, I love it just because there's King Dice🤭
It’s really surprising he wasn’t in the show more considering how popular he is. Of course it’s not following the game plot but felt like they could have done a lot more with him
