The Cure - A Chain Of Flowers 

My husband took his own life on April 23rd, 2022. This has always been one of my favorite Cure songs, and now it has so much more meaning to me. This is exactly how I feel.

Emotional track and true hidden gem In their back catalogue. I always find myself coming back to this and the Big Hand, even This Twilight Garden… all worthy to be album tracks.

How is the Cure not in the Rock And Roll hall of fame for this one song alone, not to mention 35 years of amazing music and the enormous influence Robert has had on so many contemporary bands.

I wish they’d play this song live someday.

What an utterly crushing song. To those we love, we are most vulnerable.

I love how the ending just cuts off and feels odd, kinda reflecting how in real life someone can just leave your life on a dime.

I've loved this song since it came out in 87 and it still gets me choked up and I get the chills. The subject matter is very difficult to think about when set to such incredibly beautiful music. I never want anyone I love to die, especially not the "one" for me. This song has to exist because it inevitably happens to so many and the loss is beyond tragic into the profound. Also, thanks for the lyric Simon it's one of my favorites!

I've been looking for this song for a long time. I only heard it only once many years ago at a party and no one there was even paying attention to the song. I couldn't find the host to ask the song. Everyone I asked didn't know this cure song and all thought I was mistaking the band and said it might be another band.I have no idea why it isn't more popular.

On 7th January of this year, 16 days ago, exactly, A friend of mine died, at the early age of 35 years old, leaving an husband and two little daughter.. Since it happened this song has been remaining in my head like a sad soundtrack of this pain moment. I have also dedicated it to my friend when I posted it on Facebook.

Such a great Cure song. Takes months of listens to suddenly realize it's easily a top 30-ish Cure song (out of what, 230?!). It's very English summer fairy tale especially the part about the churchyard hide n seek game. Very Edgar Allen Poe.
