Владимир Владимиров Good taste! For quite some time I was trying to make my Top 10 The Cure but couldn't conclude! The minimum number of 'the best of the best' came to about 30 and the 3 you rated highest were there too. The remaining ones must be: 1. A Forest 2. Pictures Of You 3. Lovesong 4. This Twilight Garden 5. Breathe 6. A Thousand Hours 7. The Funeral Party 8. A Strange Day 9. Faith 10. Jumping Someone Else's Train 11. How Beautiful You Are 12. A Night Like This 13. One More Time 14. A Chain Of Flowers 15. It Used To Be Me 16. The Last Day Of Summer 17. Where The Birds Always Sing 18. Underneath The Stars 19. Sinking 20. M 21. The Holy Hour 22. Just One Kiss 23. Plainsong 24. Fight 25. Homesick 26. Apart 27. Lament These make the 30..But I know of at least another 30 that should be added to the list! And before somebody lashes out at me 'where is Just Like Heaven?', I'll tell you that although a great song, I don't think it deserves to be in this Top 30 and neither Boys Don't Cry ot Lullaby. The "Cureness" of The Cure is to be found in the more thoughtful and melancholic pieces as listed. The exception is Pictures Of You of course, which although poppy, carries this sacredness and majestic beauty despite being played in Dur. Anybody in agreement with my assessment (I was born a year after release of Three Imaginary Boys and discovered Cure in 1989 and got hooked for life :))
What a breath taking moment indeed...thank you Robert for shearing with us a moment of you in such delicacy and sensibility giving your teardrops to us ...giving a piece of you every time ....
I was there. I come from a small village in Italy, there is no remote chance that a band like them can move for a concert in such place... I have waited to see and ear The Cure live since 1989, the very first time that I have saw the music video from Lullaby.
Thank you very much for sharing this. I got to see this song back in 2000 but unfortunately they didn't play it at the 2016 shows that I attended. What a great song. Definitely one of my favorites. Thumbs up.
Oh yeah, I uploaded The Snakepit from night 2 @ Madison Square Garden and If Only Tonight We Could Sleep from the Merriweather show. Both are filmed from afar so they don't boast amazing video quality like this but I promise you that they sound fantastic. Drop by for a listen, fellow Cure fans!
Indeed, I was. The “rarest” show I’ve attended was one of the Reflections Tour in 2011 (Beacon Theatre in NYC). It was very special because past members (Lol, for example) were there. But honestly, the 2000 show I attended is still my favorite of all. And for a very simple reason…the setlist for the Dream Tour were the best if you’re like me and prefer the darker, more experimental side of the band. I’d seen them a few times before that and at least 10 times since then. All of the shows were great in their own way but I don’t think I’ll ever attend another concert that I enjoyed as much as the one I went to in 2000. The only disappointing Cure concert I’ve seen was in 2008. It was pretty terrible. No keyboardist for that tour. They sadly used tape loops. It was quite sad and unbecoming. Thankfully, Robert got his head out of his ass and hasn’t done a tour since without a live keyboardist; Roger should never have been removed. Glad to see Perry finally return as well, though it didn’t seem he was doing much on stage during the Lost World shows of 2023. I go out of my to see the band wherever I can. They will always be my favorite of all time.
While I appreciate people sharing their videos with us, I could never imagine taking my eyes off of them. So intense experience I do not want to watch it through a viewfinder.
The "Bloodflowers" are the Rose's of Donetska. "I want to see you kill everyone in the world." was what Robert Smith said, and I thought that was the greatest American Dream, so I went to college, became a self portrait artist and shot pictures of you, now it's International Selfie Day once a year, I win.
What a terrific upload, THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!! Perfect picture and perfect sound, may I ask which camera was used for this recording ? Would like to make perfect recordings like this as well :-)
Interdire les smartphones, vous avez payée votre place, alors regarder le spectacle et non votre écran de smartphone, parce que pendant ce temps là vous ne regarder pas le spectacle que " vous " avez payé !!! Faut tout leur dire à c' est ...
