THE CURE has kept me afloat for 40 years. It's the only band I can listen to for several hours a day and I absolutely don't get bored. It's not music, it's the flow of waves, sometimes melancholic, sometimes psychedelic, sometimes depressed, but always healing. All I'm sorry about is the departure of Porl Thompson. With his guitar, the concerts were such an experience that it shot me out of my socks.

The band that plays for over 3 hours for their fans and for their own pleasure is fantastic. Robert and his gang are like that! Thank you for being with us for 40 years you nasty tousled Jabba! ;-)
I bloody love the cure ...Sooooooooooooooo good... Robert is a genius ...Simon is the God of bass .... Thank you guys for making our lives a better place...
I've (re)discoverd The Cure at 60! Heard of them in 80's-90's but never really followed their music. Loving them all the more now. Rock-on Robert and boys!
Same here! I really liked their Unplugged MTV video...wish I could find it on DVD to buy. But I play lots of them driving around in my 1995 Jaguar VDP...just feels right!
listening to the Cure is an emotional journey for me it's never boring. it's real * passionate. they're incredible I've been listening to them for 40 years
@@herbertrichard614 if you already donated, before I interact with abbreviations I first look it up and the list of all in the same to make sure that it's not a reciprocal grouping short cut bridge , as I think it is, so make sure that there's nothing on the list you wouldn't want crossing over into your energy
Its a pleasure to greet other fans that are taken on a journey by the music of The Cure- my drug for life. Takes me high, low, deep, dreaming, heavy, and...but keeps me here. If i can't hear their music when I'm dead then I'd gladly stay in this wretched world so i can.
Every time I listen to The Cure I’m happy and sad at the same time. It’s cathartic healing heartbreaking and joyful all at once. Imo the absolute best band to come out of England. Roberts lyrics are like poetry.
The Cure, Depeche Mode, Clan of Xymox, The Sisters of Mercy and Nina Hagen were my first favorite connected bands at 14 years old and now I'm 50! The older albums bring up sooo many amazing memories of dance parties, gothic comrades and amazing adventures. True gratitude Robert Smith and all of your band!
I am listening to this band since the album seventeen seconds, that came out in 1980. And I am still listening to this band in awe. 41 years later, some songs still bring tears to my eyes. Especially songs like: pictures of you. I LOVE THE CURE !
I listen to you guy's everyday and it doesn't ever get old , this band I never get tired of listening too ! Robert you make that guitar cry and your voice , what can I say other than I could listen for hour's to it and sometimes I do 💖 I hope that everyone is doing well during these trying time's 🐸
The Cure is a like magic, in my opinion. The icons of an entire generation playing the songs that anybody, everbody likes in surrounded in an Anfiteatro like this is amazing, like a mistycal experience! Live The Cure, mithy of our times!
There is a lot of space in the music. Some hollow sphere envelopes you. Its relaxing & open yet adorned with notes. Some come at you. Others float away from you. Others creates different effects. Its an interesting & personal experience. Love the Cure.
The show I dragged my wife to was like that. Poor dear, she was begging me to go home but I knew if we stuck it out I'd get to hear Boys Don't Cry. She hung in there and I did, bless her heart.
Just brilliant . I sort of liked the cure but only through the more common songs and chart stuff but stumbled opon this and its blown me away .listening from an oil rig and I could be anywhere, definitely going to see them when they tour.
I saw The Cure play at The Music Machine / Camden Palace / Koko, in 1979. Yes. I’m OLD! 😀 Wouldn’t call myself a huge fan but Disintegration is one incredible album - IMO out performs either of Joy Division’s two offerings.
I never saw the cure I went to see Siouxsie & banshees in London 2002 Empire She was just amazing for her age, fitness and whole performance was superb It's was available on DVD I have a cd of the concert
Roger O'Donnell on Trust...some of the best keys I have ever heard...I had to listen to it several times today...amazing...the Cure simply would not be the Cure without Roger...he provides the 'sound'...so excellent...
It’s just insane how they all are perfect with each other and the way everything fits sooo bloody well together. Their chemistry from 78- now just insane, truly one of if not the greatest band of all time. Got tickets to one of their shows next year, i cried. Yeah they’re not as good as they once were, but so fucking what eh? Robert still has an angelic voice, Simon is a beast on bass and stage. Roger is a legend i fucking love how he looks and plays, Reeves holding it down and Jason gets a lot of slack. But it ain’t deserved, coming in after Boris, no matter who would get a bad wrap. Fucking best band ever it’s hard to believe sometimes that they and their music exist
@@voyagersa22 Do you mean Porl (now Pearl) Thompson...uh, no...he left the band...had a squabble with the boss...that is the legendary Reeves Gabrel on guitar...former lead guitarist for David Bowie and Tin Machine...
@@michaelehrhart9670 wow 😯 thanks. Dint know about brother (now sister) Porl 🤣🤣 he’s a great player. I remember back in the day, his style, he was so punk rock 🤘🏿🤘🏿 👋🏼 stay safe brother
@@voyagersa22 So Pearl has changed, eh? I always regarded him as a second genius in Cure as he wrote a lot of the guitar for their best songs...but he was always a little out there...so...
I was there BOTH nights!! AMAZING NIGHT!!! 3 hour long setlists!!! All bands should be playing shows of that capacity!!! Fantastic time. RAH is one incredible historic venue. It was honor to see The Cure there. Unbelievable. !!
Any idea which night this upload is from Dave? Just wondering if it was the night I was there, it's impossible to work out from the setlists as they were identical.
@@citizenpb I'm not positive but I think it may be a combination of both nights?? I only went to night 1 and was trying to figure out if it was the same night as well.
I remember one of million Cure memories buying the twelve inch of In between Days it was back then the perfect song....who'd of thought...all the trips all the disintegrating the putting back all the joy out of all the dark.
Damn this band is tight, the drummer is relentless. I have always been aware of them, but never really looked into them until about eight months ago. Up until that time, I had only ever heard two songs by them I liked. Oh, man, these guys are cosmic and deep. I HAVE to see them.
Jason does impress me more the last shows I've seen the band, but it also all clicktrack and backing tracks too I believe. Boris was just all great! Such a machine.

I love The Cure so much, since I discovered until today. They have saved me multiple times from the deepest and darkest moments in my life. Opening Plainsong is how my dreams feel like.
I first heard them around age 5....and I got hooked. It's been 40 years and I still can't explain how their music makes me feel, dream, hope and grief. Finally got to see them and will ever cherish it❤❤❤❤
I was here. Say what you will but this was the best concert of my life bar none. Thank you for an amazing night. Thank you for the last 40 years of my life.
Being in love with this band since I was a kid and I can´t wait for the next tour. ALL OTHER bands should look at The Cure and understand why they sell out big arenas 40 years + into their career. They give ALL fans what they want on every concert, change setlist from city to city and deliver songs from their whole career. Amazing live band and Roberts voice is still perfect.
They put on a beautiful and atmospheric show, they play 3 hours, they interact with the fans, they take pictures with fans after all these years. I wish RHCP (my favorite band) could learn from them 😂
@@doretheasmith4130 yeah he’s back, i really hope things are good between Simon and the band. Everyone always praises Robert (rightly so) but Gallup is just as important. He’s an OG and a absolutely legendary player and he is prob the coolest looking in the band and lowkey has been since the 70s
I LOVE THIS BAND! ❤❤❤ MAKES ME BACK IN TIME, EXACTLY, THE 80'S. AMAZING HOW ROBERT'S VOICE REMAINS EXACTLY THE SAME, IT HASN'T CHANGED ANYTHING! LONG LIFE FOR THE CURE... 👏👏👏 (From Brazil) .
I went to Madison Sq Garden last night. He was amazing. There are no words to describe the vibe. It was like the good old days of high school all over again. The Cure was is still the best! Robert has an amazing smile and his vocals are impeccable.
Thank you so much for uploading this. I just have no words, they are otherworldly and they sound just as they did almost 30 years ago when I saw them for the first time. I died at 1:39 when they played my very favorite song of all time even though I love all music they have ever made. They have enhanced my life . The Cure music has been my friends when I had none, love when I lost it and are part of many cherished memories. My favorite band for life. Love you always Robert
You summarized what I lived for almost 30 years...they were my friends when I was alone. Today it's exciting to see my daughters singing the songs that made so much sense to me. touch souls. Brazil 2021/08
Obviously (one of) the best-ever music band .... And they can achieve such great concerts because, from the very first album, there is no low song, no fill-up : every song of every album is a jewel. I remember how Kiss me! has been a shock for me, just two years after the head on the door, it seemed too soon for me to be a good one. What a slap ! After all these years I still remember the emotions on my first listening of the album, the variety of melodies, styles... one more example of the genius of R Smith . Now I feel the urgent need to go listen to "Like cockatos" !
I was Roberts mum and dads postman 1989-92...they were professional people and had a sack of mail a week..Thru his mum and dad i requested his presence in my local in Crawley on a Sunday night, alas he didnt show..
Love this band since the 1980’s Such a rollercoaster of emotions go through ya when listening ( whether your by yourself or others) I can’t think of any other band that can create a concert experiences as such ( with the exception of The GRATEFUL DEAD)
MHO there are only two bands to ever truly master live ambience; Pink Floyd and... So seamless the song juggling throughout their entire catalogue as if it were no big deal. The Oldies sounded fresh as if they were originally made just prior to the show. Thank you for the VERY necessary upload!
É gratificante ver essas bandas longevas com o front man com a voz intacta, cantando suas canções como nos velhos tempos. Ao contrário de outras bandas por aí. Vida longa a Robert e ao Cure.
Out of this world. My favorite band from middle and high school and the tube was kind enough to help me rediscover them this morning. For some reason I didn't stick with the music of my youth as the bands carried on. Once they exploded into commercial fame I admit I was put off. And the magic of their earlier sounds got lost. Now I'll have to check out their later music I've never heard before. U2 was one of the only other bands as big for me as the Cure was - and I wished U2 had quit making new music by the turn of the century. What Bono became, I don't think I can ever feel the same about U2 again. But Robert Smith is a real legend. Absolutely astonishing. A genius, a powerhouse. A true sound-smith. The entire band is incredible. How do they play this long of a set ??? WOW.
You summarized what I lived for almost 30 years...they were my friends when I was alone. Today it's exciting to see my daughters singing the songs that made so much sense to me. touch souls
I love their sound filled up space of layers with guitar, base, synth, and voice. Sometimes just a orchestra, sometimes just simple! And their many songs make me happy, upward, but beautiful, geniously. How many great songs by the cure! Can't help falling into them. Great band. Wish can join their concert for long time. Thank much TCT for this great source.
Se ponen los pelos de punta recordando tantos buenos momentos en sus conciertos desde mi adolescencia hasta ahora. Tenerlos aun sobre los escenarios es un regalo que no tiene precio.
I went and saw the Cure play in Auckland not long after this concert with my dad. He turned to me while they were playing and said " I feel like I'm going to cry." He couldn't believe he was finally seeing one of his favourite bands live. That was one of my greatest memories of my father. Thank you dad and thank you The Cure.
The Cure, Is the Cure….. Listening to you at work keeps my Peace going and my work flowing. Listening to you at Home keeps me in the Zone. Thank You… Forever and 13 Days. I Love You!
It is so overwhelming how good The Cure are, such a potential. What I find so fascinating is to play such long concerts, to change between playing all albums or too mix them wildly. This is so amazing but absolutely justified: 3 or 5 or 7 hours The Cure are worth every second in live - and for me in my life.
I heard Robert in interview where he said he likes not to do the exact same show night after night. And I like it ! You can go see 12 concerts of the same tour and you'll hear a boat load of differents songs. That's amazing. Long Live The Cure.
GRUPASO RECUERDOS DE LOS 80S CUANDO IBA EN LA PREPA 8 CDMX, HASTA HOY NO PIERDEN SU ESENCIA HOY LOS SIGO A UN GRUPO IGUALES A ELLOS EN CDMX DESINTEGRADOS EXCELENTES SEGUIR ESCUCHANDO A LA CURA.
Enjoying n loving your real live performancesz. As always it's Breathtaking like your beautiful song *Pictures of You*.Encore more n even more please. Thanks Ta〽️🎶🎶💜💜💜
Saw The Cure from Head on the Door - 96 , so how ever many times they came to Dallas or Houston. Always fun !! Prayer tour and The singles tour were the best
I am surprised Robert's voice is still good after these years. I wish Robert would get a more flattering hair style though; it looks goofy. Great concert.
