I will love Robert and this band forever. I don't care how old he is, his beauty is ethereal. Close your eyes and he sounds exactly the same as 40 yrs ago.
“Show me, show me, show me how you do that trick. The that makes me scream she said. The one that make me laugh she said. And threw her arms around my neck”. With lyrics like this I don’t care what you look like now because that song was beyond the temporal… it was eternal.
Wow, great list of songs and performed so well! The Cure can still bring it! Who cares what he looks like now... Hell, we're all getting older... but he still plays for the crowd and sings well
I love how he doesn't allow the crowd to sing too much! He's got his own cadence for live vocals and I do think he's doing it for the benefit of the crowd. This way your are hearing him more than the crowd.
Very weird perspective. He's just signing and people are singing along. I've been to many concerts and rarely does the artist stop singing when the crowd starts. I actually can't think of one time, they usually build off the energy and go harder.
@@zaz214 check out Vince Neil . He has the crowd sing a majority of his songs it's usually people who can't sing their own songs anymore. Phil from Pantera does it alot too but for different reasons. He knows the fans know and love the chorus parts of their songs. It would look sill if Robert did that. Different animals for sure
They are a modern phenomenon, just about the only thing that makes me proud to be British these days, glad they are so well received throughout the world❤️❤️
saw them at the hollywood bowl a month ago . I have never cried and laughed so much at a concert ! I wish i could convey to this band what great memories of my youth they provide .
@Andy D Kid - in case u missed this video of final night at the Bowl - perhaps the one u attended = ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JDsTYa67KM0.html
I love that he went over to the sides so that those who didn't have the greatest seats could see him from a closer view. That's how devoted he is to his fans. I reckon if he could get closer to the nose bleed section he probably would.
The toronto show last night was one of the grandest musical endeavors of this decade. Please tour in 2024 My wife was in tears. We appreciate all of your masterpieces CURE
I will be seeing them in less than two days! I can't believe it! Been listening to them since the early 80's and this will be my first concert, Miami FL July 1, 2023! Yessssss!
Robert Smith has an incredible voice, it sounds just like it usted to decades Robert always so humble and sensitive ❤. He really looks amazing ❤ The Cure, best band ever!
I used to be a night club DJ in the UK in the late 70s and early 80s.... It was great to play tunes like this. 1st song I played was A Forrest when it came out. They went well with some Psychedelic Furs, New Order, Joy Division, Simple Minds, Japan and some Gary Numan
Thanks for your appreciation. It was amazing to BE THERE, and this little clip is a pale facsimile to the energy in the room that night. But hopefully it serves. There's a reason these shows are sold out!
@@MarcusBriscoe This vantage point was so perfect Marcus. I was actually at Climate Pledge on Thurs night and a full-circle moment for me. First saw The Cure at the Hope & Anchor pub in 1978 as a young 16-year-old London kid, and eventually at other UK venues (Hammersmith Odeon, Wembley Arena, Glastonbury, etc.) over the years. I've got to say, this was one of the best concerts by The Cure that I've seen, including sharing brand new songs, and all their amazing back catalog of music. Still fantastic after all these years. Your video of the encore will remain a beloved snapshot of a bloody great evening of music. Cheers
The Cure what can i say one of the best bands of their era New Wave was drifting across the Atlantic to USA and Canada. In the late 1970s, many bands in the United Kingdom began experimenting with synthesizers, forming the new wave style known as synthpop. The Cure produced many singles and some Hits: this placed the band in the post-punk and new wave movements, that had sprung up in the United Kingdom.
Impresionante, cada vez que los escucho me gustan mas, me traen muy buenos recuerdos con mis amigos en las noches y noches sin fin de Valencia...y espero seguirlos por mucho tiempo.
I was there and Thank you The Cure for the soul majik. Seattle fans didn't disappoint and it was freaking everything and more Washington state Loves you and thanks you again for such an amazing second time around full circle of joy to my world. Being lost and alone in this life I found my soul the Cure that led me on this amazing journey of being my true self and giving the majik to others along my path. Bless you Robert Smith and God loves you. Perfectly voiced as I saw it to be. Yaaaaa my heart is jumping with joy.
❤ Always I loved this band from the start and Robert since his Siouxie days!!! So glad i got to see them in a small venue early 80's before they were selling out the LA FORUM in Los Angeles
Linda demais essa música gosto muito dessa música porque ela tem muita história para conta em nossas vidas também ofereço está música especialmente para todos vocês também que curte essa música
Robert and band, musical geniuses👍. Pretty sure it was 1980 I saw the cure at Macquarie university here in Sydney australia. Young band then, lifted the roof off the uni bar and man what a show👍❤️
Every generation wants to hold on to the past, it's a shame to watch our influences get old and fade away...Rush, Eric Clapton, the Who, etc....I would love to live in the eighties forever
The Cure must be the greatest heavy metal band of all time. That lovely long hair. Those shiny guitars. The pure mind blowing power of some of their really fast, loud and heavy songs like Close To Me. Smith graces the stage like a tramp who has just found a bacon sandwich. The bass cuts through the mix like drilling a hole in a spice rack while wearing a crash helmet. A fellow journalist told me that he had been lucky enough to be invited to Buckingham Palace where he struck up a friendship with one of the cleaners. The cleaner later told him that Boys Don’t Cry was the last song that the Queen listened to before she died. Simply wonderful. Five stars.
I was there! I’ve seen them quite a few times, and they are always amazing. That was such a great show! Robert Smith’s voice is just …wonderful. I was also at the Duran Duran show there the night before. Totally different vibe, but also amazing!
