When he didn’t have the Saddledome as one of the 5 worst NHL arenas, I knew this channel was not one to be taken seriously. These wild mispronunciations seal the deal.
This guy obviously has not been to a Panthers game, so let me tell ya what’s it’s really like. Seats are comfy, tons of GOOD local and fast food options, big food courts, clean concourse, cool vibes, big team store, and some the largest and nicest luxury boxes of the NHL.
Buffalo native here, Sabres aren’t getting a new arena anytime soon. Keybank center needs a lot of improvements and they’re finally starting this offseason with a new roof and Jumbotron, but they need a lot of improvements like seating and concourse area. Most importantly a good team though lol
Terry would even have more of a reason to not be seen in public if he asked for a replacement arena for his Sabres after whats going down with the Bills new stadium and its ticket price.
One of the newer. If I'm not mistaken, there were no expansion teams between when the Jackets and Wild entered together, and when the Golden Knights entered
What's funny is the bro, then says the Xcel Energy center is an older arena, despite being built the same year as nationwide!. He might be a little dumb.
Well, they are one of the 4 newest teams in the league. Even the revamped Winnipeg Jets are technically older as Atlanta joined in 1999. Also considering you have 3 teams that are 100+ years old in the league (MTL, TOR, BOS), being less than a quarter century old makes them young in every sense of the number. 24 year old humans are considered young, so the same goes with sports teams that are the same age.
They’ve been talking about new arena / renovating Ball Arena in Denver for years. They want to build a whole new sports complex with restaurants and apartments. Right now the Avs practice in a public athletic complex so they want a private practice rink right by Ball Arena. They are planning on closing Eltich Gardens and adding the practice complex for the Nuggets and Avs on the same property as a new arena last I heard. The current arena isn’t too bad but it could use a refresh for sure as it’s started showing its age the past few seasons. They definitely need to get their bathrooms figured out as you could be in line for the entire intermission because there’s not enough bathrooms for the capacity.
I agree it's time for them to start thinking about getting a new arena for the Avs and Nuggets as I do like the plan of the sports complex with restaurants and apartments. It can probably coincide with the Denver Broncos new stadium in the future and build them both in the same area downtown. Coors Field is the only one that doesn't need a new ballpark for the Rockies.
Yes a new arena is needed for the Panthers. But I still don't get why people that are not from South Florida decide that the location of it is "bad", with ZERO research or anything to back up what they say. What is the good location? South Beach? Hialeah? Mar-O-Lago? What outsiders don't understand is that the current arena is actually where the fanbase is, suburban families (western suburbs), and relocated northeasterners and Canadians (Broward County). They will not see better attendance if they went back to downtown Miami.
@@spacemansports4129 I keep checking several NHL sources on attendance and all put Florida in the top 10 in attendance inthe league even with the 5th biggest seating. The Heat whose fans also get called out has sold out for 15 years and it's only one of 6 NBA arenas that sell out every game. The bottom line is there is a lot of South Florida hate from supposed better fanbases who don't even sell out their games. They talk about empty seats at Heat, Dolphin and Panthers games but yeah that's South Florida like LA there is a lot to do and many people with crazy amounts of money who have tickets but don't show up all the time.
The Wells Fargo Center was built mostly for the Flyers with the Sixers being secondary. They just did a $400m renovation in the last 5 years. The Sixers new arena would be basketball-only and isn’t looking likely to happen.
It's gonna happen it's just going to take a little time, they should make sure it can fit a hockey rink though, but the Flyers don't have to move in there because they own the Wells Fargo Center and can stay in South Philly.
Plus Wells Fargo added the first ever kinetic scoreboard which can change sizes and it's in 4K as part of the renovations. The upgrades helped the fan experience in several ways.
I’ve been to a lot of NHL arenas and The Excel arena for Minnesota is awesome and not a bad seat in the place and I think one of top arenas in the NHL and they won’t be moving for many many years, it really doesn’t even need a renovation. Chicago and Colombus arena are also awesome, Vegas is good, Dallas and Nashville arenas are fine maybe need a little renovation but nothing major. Winnipeg arena although not that old but seemed to be made somewhat on the cheap side and could use a major renovation and my least favorite arena been to
T.B. Lightning Amalie Arena is not part of Tampa's issues to fund. Jeffrey Vinik owner is considered the top owner or thereabouts in all of sports. He uses his money to remodel or whatever he decides to do. He is even behind the revitalization of a district around Amalie. With POS Bill Gates contributing. Vinik gives away 50k every home game for years now for some group or person in the community. City of Tampa is only responsible for Raymond James(Bucs) and Legends Field(Yanks Minor league Team, Corp). Our money built both.
The Flyers are not leaving the Wells Fargo Center; they own it, and they just spent a couple hundred million renovating it. The 76ers are looking to leave because they pay rent, and want to make a 'BASKETBALL ONLY' Arena.
Amerant Bank Arena is in a decent location. It is an hour and a half drive (NOT INCLUDING TRAFFIC) from Palm Beach County, Broward County, Collier County, and Miami-Dade. They could put the team in Downtown Miami but it wouldn't make much sense. It would be a worse traffic nightmare then where it is now. A lot of the Season ticket holders live in Broward. I haven't seen a lot of team support from Miamians. They don't claim the Panthers as their team because the stadium is not in Miami, however people that live in Broward see the Dolphins and Heat as their team.
The majority of its Fanbase are in the north broward and Palm Beach counties. I’ve seen lots of cars with panthers decals and stickers, flags, and license plates.
Scotobank, (instead of Scotiabank), A-maul-ee (instead of Am-a-Lee), Ball Centre (instead of Bell Centre). When you watch anything from Depressed Dude, you IQ lowers 40 points. I only watch sporadically to see what other errors and total crap he posts.
The owner of the Capitals (and Wizards) and the District of Columbia announced a $515 million package to keep the team in DC and renovate the current arena. Still needs approval by DC City Council, but it's pretty much a done deal at this point.
Teams in Washington DC have a huge problem locating land to build any stadiums or arenas. Heck, the Washington Commaders wanted to leave FedEx stadium in Maryland, and they finally got some potential offers to build a stadium in tge where the RFK memorial stadium once stood. That took years and it would probably make more sense for both the Capitals and Wizards to build a new stadium where the current on is located and rent places until the new one is complete.
I read on the arena website that they are renovating all of the concourses, replacing the ribbon boards this summer, planning an eventual renovation to the current scoreboard, among many other upgrades. Scotiabank Arena is not going anywhere anytime soon.
Bro as a panthers fan our arena isn’t great but its by far from the worst, we have a decent seating capacity and the location is not as bad as people make it out to be
I’m a Canadian and when I went there I thought it was really nice, huge concourses and great food options. I’d put it ahead of Amalie, Canadian tire center, key bank and far better than the saddledome and probably on par with Scotiabank lol. This guy is wild.
The Sixers new arena, if it came to fruition, would be like the Barclays Center. Intended for basketball only and it couldn’t properly accommodate a hockey rink. It would be Barclays Centre 2.0. But Comcast Spectacor owns the Flyers and the WFC so in reality they wouldn’t be going anywhere. The Sixers just don’t want to be a paying tenant using someone else’s building anymore.
The only person in the Ottawa area who wanted a new arena was a former owner of the Sens. Most people in the Ottawa area can lve with the Canadian Tire Centre.
Winnipeg's arena only seats about 15k. The reason they chose to build to that capacity was because it was meant for the biggest hockey team in the city at the time (Manitoba Moose AHL). But Winnipeg was still open to getting the Jets back. 10k seats would be the right amount for a big AHL team and 18k-20k for an NHL team. So they settled in the middle at 15k lol
The Wells Fargo Center just finished up a 400 million renovation in the early parted of this Season it was a 2 or 3 year the new locker-room looks alot better when tye renovations where finally finished The TV crew Jim Jackson took a tour and showed of all what was renovated over the last couple seasons . The 76ers want a new Arena because they don't own any part of the Wells Fargo Center they rent it Josh Harris also owns the Devils & Commaners
I've been to Capital One Arena and the biggest pro about it is location - right In the heart of D.C. Washington also has a very good Metro system (subway). Maybe a renovation instead of a move...?
@@billcook4768 And you're forgetting that teams are building new arenas in the cities now, not the suburbs. Plus, easy access for the VIPs in D.C. - short drive via limo.
Here in Buffalo, there is zero talk about a replacement arena for the KeyBank Center. Renovations are starting this summer with a new roof and scoreboard which will be one of the larger ones in the league. It's going to be nearly identical to what PPG Paints Arena installed last summer. Then there is some talk about renovations beginning on the interior. Capital One Arena is not endangered as the Capitals and Wizards are staying at the arena until 2047. Plus there have been renovations over the past few years. No new arena will be built.
The reason ball arena in denver is 25 years old and not going anywhere is because kroenke owns the building, not the city so stan the man would have to pay for a new arena himself. Hard to believe stan kroenke bought the arena, the nuggets, and the avs for 800 million package deal. Granted it was 1999 but still a bargain.
There’s no warning for Wells Fargo Center. That stadium is owned by Comcast and is completely designed to be the Flyers home. The Sixers are out of place there, which is why they’re moving. The Flyers will be playing in the Fargo for a very very long time.
Man he really rips the panthers so much, but I’ve been to their arena so much it really isn’t bad, they have done some minor renovations in the past few years, also the exterior has been fine, really only the top is ugly, and sorry the location isn’t in the exact middle of Miami, they built it their because it’s between the major highway between Ft. Lauderdale (also sold out the whole season this year)
well the delta center supposed to built for only basketball. because back in 2002 olympics when they add an ice rink. they have to move the seats back and clover it up to look like a literal wall there. it is a ugly look. it is not built to put a ice rink in it. so i am so glad they will get a new arena. because fans and player can not want to look at a wall while playing here.
Wells Fargo Center had new renovations over the past 2 years outside. LEDs now too. I like the stadium and they made some renovations indoors. Also the Flyers aren’t going to 76 place. Past few months the Phillies and Flyers are working on a project to build something major around the complex
This is basically a how new/recently renovated list. Rogers arena in Vancouver is perfectly fine and its a really enjoyable expirenece going there. I don't even know someone could say we need a new arena. Not to mention all the transport infrastructure around the arena that allows people to quickly get in and get out form games once its over
Capital One Arena isn’t going anywhere bc it’s getting renovated so it’s not endangered. Amerant Bank Arena, after research, is not bad either. Plus it’s the largest in Florida
3:41 um the United Center is fine dude for over 10 years. That’s an old picture too, they have LED Screens on the outside of the building now, and as someone who goes to the UC pretty regularly. The building is in phenomenal shape, they’re not going anywhere in 10 years. That building easily has another 75 years left in it if not more. Plus it’s the largest arena in the NHL
the problem with the florida panthers is that theres not enough space near population centers in south florida. It's so built up around there. needs a major renovation
The problem in Winnipeg is the cost of the tickets to watch the Jets. It's an Issue in every Canadian NHL City. Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal all have a solid season tickets Holders base who have the money to buy the tickets. Those platinum seats at Scotia Bank arena for a Premium priced game run over 800.00 per seat. not to mention the fact that when that arena was built seat owners paid 25K per seat for a license fee. Not much lower in all of the other Canadian cities either. Ottawa and Winnipeg have an attendance problem. The tickets are too cost restrictive for an average fan to go to a game. Don't get me started about the concession prices. Quebec City has a new arena sitting there ready but they may not get a team again. The fan base is small but loyal, but now the ticket prices won't fly. Gary Bettman would be stupid enough to give Atlanta another chance at Disaster. I don't think a team in Salt Lake City is going to fly either. Hamilton. Not a Chance. There is the fact also that the taxpayers don't want to fund Billionaire Owners New Stadiums. You have the money to own a team. Pay for the Fucking Building yourselves or Move to somewhere stupid enough to make you richer.
The Wild just got a new practice facility recently and have been dog shit the past couple years. There’s nothing wrong with the Xcel center. They can stay there while the rest of the state still suffers the cost for U.S. Bank stadium.
The Fargo is safe. Comcast Spectator, which owns the Flyers, is planning to build an enormous dining/entertainment complex next to the Fargo. Some people are saying it's to keep the Sixers in South Philly, but really I think it's to keep the Flyers there.
The Ducks are going nowhere, but the area around it will be improved and Honda Center will be renovated. And didn't the DC situation get solved last week? This guy needs to sharpen his game.
The Sabres won’t build a new arena anytime soon, but they are updating the roof and video screen in 24-25. All of western New York is pissed about the season ticket squeeze from the Bills, who are owned by the same guy. I live about an hour south
A suggestion: please always mention the city where the stadium is located (or the team). I know most of the stadium names, but not all. Or I don't remember anymore.
Let’s not kid ourselves the atrium was a decent start but the UC isn’t all that special inside and could use a facelift- as long as the Bulls and Blackhawks pay for it.
Bro the aac has litterly a unique interior they literally just added seats to the arena like 2 or 3 years ago for hockey and basketball games like what you mean its in danger
