Tekken 8 has received a lot of hate as of late. But it seems to be weathering the storm quite well. The developers recently announced some upcoming updates that may fix some of their glaring issues.
Heat only needs two changes: Heat should tick down at its regular rate while you're being combo'd, and heat smash should be safe but not plus. If you want plus frames then land your heat engager or use rush.
@@dopefury What first? The fact you just say: "Well everyone plays tekken 8, you must be happy for tekken.". Like sales for some reason means anything, by that logic fortnite is an excellent game because all 10 year olds play it. Tekken 8 is getting the hate it deserves because bamco is acting extra greedy this year and because it is a flawed game. It isn't dog piling hate because the game is different, tekken 7 was different there was a lot of mechanics that people hated, they never review bombed it. Tekken 8 is dog piling hate because the 'good' moves aren't just good, they are safe, maybe even plus on block, they have heat mechanics and they track both ways. I am happy for the new update but the game is fundamentally based on offense, tools lead into other tools, mixups into other mixups. Characters can go mid, mid, mid and still be plus. That is fundamentally braindead.
@@dopefury And let's not forget the shittiest take of the year. Where you said that: "No one sidesteped my hellsweep so I don't understand the hate around mishimas having tracking hellsweeps.". Let's analyze this shit take, Bob's hellsweep ALREADY TRACKS BOTH WAYS. The fact you reached tekken god prime and don't know this is just hilarious. Shows just the skill bob requires from the player. Of course no one will try and sidestep a tracking low, the same way people usually don't try to sidestep Heihachi's hellsweep. The only difference is Heihachi's hellsweep is shit and bob's is mediocre. The fact that Kazuya and Devil Jin who have not only the best hellsweeps (One launches, the other knocks down for infinite vortex and a chunky amount of damage.), and they both can 'track' with just some wavedashing, would render them broken because you can wavedash into unavoidable hellsweeps. They were already pretty unavoidable if you had the execution but now they were unavoidable anyway. I can't imagine a person defending murray over his braindead tweet, but I found you I guess.
@@Kostas68238 I said in tournament. I already praised tekkens sales and popularity in a precious video. Please work on your comprehension skills. As for it's flaws, an update is coming soon to address em. so stay mad.
@@Kostas68238 I used Eliza, Bryan, Kuni, Akuma, none of the lows got sidestepped either but sure, hyperfocus on that and completely ignore the point. And you're kind of proving my point. T7 had broken bs too, yet no review bombs. How about you take Murrays advice and stop ducking. You wouldn't get vortexed , and you can reach TGP like me. So thanks for exposing your hypocrisy. Keep crying too, it helps my algorithm.
home stop gobblin namcops nuts. i like tekken 8 but the game shifted towards more aggressive play. People already been complaining since Tag 1 that sidestepping should be buffed and in this game you are forced to so many 50/50s it feels like a lottery. Also just because you didn´t get sidestepped while doing Hellsweep doesn´t mean it´s a good idea to make it tracking. As a defensive player more defensive options are always welcome so f michael murray for saying dumbass shit like that
@@bubu.D.28 It is a situation where you are forced into either ducking or standing block. For example, if Kazuya is for some reason +30 frames. This means he can do any move that is less than 30 frames and you can't move. So you can't sidestep, interrupt with a move of your own etc. So you are basically forced to guess. Kazuya is a good example of a 50/50 because he has his hellsweep, a strong low that does a chunky amount of damage and knocks you down for further pressure and ff3 which is a mid launcher for a combo. So if Kazuya can do any move and you can't avoid it or use your own moves, Kazuya can force you to guess between a mid and a low and you have to guess because if you don't you might get launched etc etc. That is what a 50/50 is, it is a situation where as a defender your options are limited so significantly you have to guess between ducking and not ducking, and any other option is off limits.
We're seeing the exodus of players that jumped in with 7 and its overly turtle-rewarding play system. I love Tekken 7, but the fact that most of these people are mad about free plus frames after coming from a game where you sometimes couldn't step EVEN IF YOU WERE PLUS is wiiiiiiiiiild!
In all honesty I feel like tekken is probably the better fighting game cause of how tech you have to be to actually progress though the ranks people try to run it than quit out of it
@@dopefury My brother, I believe you. I'm calling you a clown for taunting while smurfing. Imagine getting spam taunted by a guy that is miles ahead of you while being railed. You are the reason pluggers exist 🤡
The same people win because they figured out that picking high tiers is what makes one win consistently. Also, PC on heat burst draaaags the game down so much win or lose. The design of the game fosters a toxic environment
Correction: The reason that MK players jumped to Tekken 8 (or at least claimed that would) is only because that the MK interent community likes to bash their own games so much, so they went to T8 out of blind for MK1. That's the game that they wanted to ruin, not T8. Then when the people that did jump to T8 realized that they can't compete in T8, they went back to MK1, especially when the shop and battle pass were added, and MK1 doesn't have a battle pass, mind you. And to be honest, MK1 is the better game anyway, MK1 is PHENOMENAL!
@@dopefury LMAO, MK is the IT game, and like I said, MK1 is PHENOMENAL. The last truly great Tekken game was Tekken 5, everything else since then just got worse and worse.
i've always preferred kof to other titles like street fighter, tekken or mk... but i agree. tekken8 is honestly pretty fun to watch. defensive or passive play is just too boring to watch and doesn't make for an entertaining esport. c: i like the vid
