probably not.they are just shards with very little pattern on them. Old doesn't mean valuable. It's just broken dishes. Complete examples may be worth something on the other hand, but probably not a lot. And they aren't Chinese. Not that that would make a difference.

You are correct with your research, but you need to get his name correct (i.e. Capt. Kidd). He is the one who originally discovered shrapnel and how effective it was as a weapon when he took it upon himself to load fine china, tea sets, dinner plates, nails, worthless coins, etc... anything into cannons when there was a scarcity of cannonballs.

Yes, it is very real. The book written by D'Arcy O'Connor (1988) gives an excellent overview of Oak Island. Used copies are available on the Internet. Mr. O'Connor spent a long time on Oak Island decades ago and is still involved with it. Also, the Canadian government did extensive research up there in the 1990's.

There is nothing there, for the last time start using common sense. This is a con job for ratings and it’s succeeded by the fact that it has been on for a decade. You can’t possibly believe that 200 plus years ago that a fortune was buried over 100 feet deep and now with all of mankind’s wealth and resources these idiots can’t even dig down 60 feet with out a million problems. They are con artists who know what people will believe. Just because they find something old doesn’t mean it was there from the original pit. Plenty of people have old trinkets and lose them all the time. Most likely it was a trading outpost that served maritime interests and it anybody found anything it was that old guy who became rich growing cabbages, not very likely. He may have found a good stash of silver and kept his mouth shut and laundered it through his farm business, so as not to draw attention to a former slave , but us thinking that they are going to be able to find something is foolish

I fully agree with so many others that the show can be a bit boring at times , however what this show has proven is that over the centuries there have been an incredible amount of different people to visit this small little island over the years , what it all means and the reasons behind their visits is now more interesting than whether or not there is a treasure buried there or not ! The more finds they make it appears that for whatever reasons people have been visiting this one little piece of land for hundreds of years , there has to be a reason why this has been happening , it would appear that the British , the French and other nations have all visited at some time in the past . And in many cases it seems they have made a concerted effort to hide their actual presence on the island , there must be some reason for the secrecy , I look forward to actually finding out if one of these groups will actually rewrite the history of the Americas !
@johnwoa
@johnwoa 4 месяца назад
Well said! If you are familiar with Mahone Bay, you will know that there are over 360 islands and little Oak Island is one of them. Did you know that Oak Island was the only island in Mahone Bay that had those towering non-indigenous Canopy Oak Trees that lined the east shore adjacent to Smith's Cove. They were clearly planted there in the very distant past to serve as landmarks so Oak Island could be located on the horizon by rowing/sailing vessels coming into Mahone Bay. The last ("dying") Canopy Oak Tree remained in 1958. They are all gone today. There are old archival photos of the trees on the Internet.
@coonarick
@coonarick 3 месяца назад
Actually I did read about the trees , this only reinforces my opinion that for whatever reason this island has had a very interesting history for a long long time ! Who came there first is probably going to a mystery for ever , unless there is some sort of evidence that will show their arrival date . I'm sure that something of great importance has been deposited on the island , it may not be gold and jewels , but the efforts to hide whatever it is and try to hide the facts of how many people have visited at different times is fascinating ! Is it the same people coming back time and time again over the years , or is it other groups of people completely ? I just hope that the secret is revealed before I die !!
@johnwoa
@johnwoa 3 месяца назад
@@coonarick I hope this Reply gets through and that the AI/Algorithm doesn't delete it. As for the "secret", the Canadian government is heavily involved with this and has been for decades. A discovery that would create geopolitical controversy might be kept from the public and Classified. As for "who came there first" would be beyond the scope of a Reply. I have researched this for many years and my take on this is that the original depositors were "ancient". I believe that the 90-foot stone was very real. The symbols that were allegedly carved on the stone first came to light in a crude sketch contained in a 1949 publication. Those symbols were identified by scholars to be of the Berber (Tifinagh) alphabet having its origin from before (B.C.) to shortly after the time of Jesus Christ. I believe the symbols to be authentic because the "translation" obtained by that Dalhousie University professor back in the 1800's can also be obtained from the symbols in the 1949 sketch. That is not a coincidence. Also, the 90-foot stone was found in the Money Pit with the carved symbols "face down" in the pit which leads me to believe that it was a Capstone for a (religious) tomb. Sorry so lengthy!

Certainly not uncommon for the cook or galley boy to dump any broken garbage over the side when in port. And that garbage can tell us a lot about the people who dumped it. The star experts digging through the mud by hand is just for show drama. I can only imagine the mass of real artifacts they are losing by not running all the dirt through a trommel and range of screens.

After two years of them telling me there was nothing wrong, they finally told me the trouble was in my house. Why dig or build a dock/warf? Just use a small dingy boat/life raft and make trips back and forth to land. Unless the "cargo load" is huge and would sink the dingy boat. So you have to get the ship close to land... period... first challenge set. Dig out the "swamp" triangle to get the boat as close as possible... even maybe use ropes on either side attached to trees to pull the ship up closer after hitting bottom.... plus bail and pull anything "not nailed down" to lighten the ship up. Live in it while digging the pit. Did they burn the ship after? thus the "swampyness".... Why is the stone road so wide and "complete"? Back to the "cargo Load", size and weight issue.... like moving a Subaru by hand with man power and ropes and carts. So did they "make" the treasure vault down in the ground... or was it "pre built" up top to dry and harden. Not going to break the lock and loot it... it's sealed all the way around with make shift concrete. If the "treasure box" was OPENABLE... you could just break the treasure up into smaller loads and use the dingy small boat and make lots of trips... If you literally can't break the "treasure box" up into smaller loads.... how do you move it.? You have the ships main mast to hoist it up and over the deck... once off the boat... what do you do? So heavy it would sink into mud or any dirt... need the road.... need...not want. Could of just made the road half as wide.... You guys dug the garden shaft pretty easy. Even by hand it could have been done... just take longer. Did they make the "concrete treasure box" before or after putting it on the boat, and or putting it in the ground... or made in the ground? You would "feel safer" shipping something off "sealed" in concrete like that?
