Clippers somehow managed to become the best LA team for the first time in history against a historically bad Lakers and yet they still somehow never won a championship and even let the bad Lakers win one, while technically being the better LA side

i remember in 2000s there was a kid on bill cosby who was asked hypothetical question : - " What would you do if you were the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers ? " the kid without hesitation : " Sell 'em"

I knew the Clippers were always cursed. 25 years ago i came from Norway to visit my favourite city of the whole world LA. Me and my friends rented a car and we were driving near the old Lakers stadium. We were bumping Warren G song Super Soul Sis. The only thing that messed up the mood was a big poster hanging on the side of the stadium showing the Clippers. My first thought was hell no. I came from the other side of the world to see the Lakers. Wtf is the Clippers? You dont come to LA as a tourist to watch the Clippers🤣🤣🤣

Don sterling actually did some really underhanded stuff to move the clippers up to Los Angeles and i think that the way he stole the clippers from san diego is the original sin that created this curse on the franchise.

I never hate Kawhi for this, but its funny to think he left a team with an entire country at his back to go to LA to do... this.

As a Lakers fan, I’ve been laughing at their downfall for I dunno how long, and once again it happened again with Dallas, who as of now are in the WCF and may likely hit the Finals if they keep their run like this

Many people may not know or remember that the Clippers once had a playoff series drought of 30 years. They had a stretch where they went from 1976-2006 between winning playoff series and once had the longest all time playoff drought going between 1976-1992 which ironically enough Doc Rivers was on that ‘92 squad that made the playoffs. Go figure by the time the Clippers made a Western Conference Finals they had to do things the hard way without their best player in Kawhi Leonard. With the team moving into their own arena starting at the 2024-25 season, maybe they’ll find a way to break the curse. In addition, the Sacramento Kings do have a case on being the most cursed NBA team as well considering that while they have won a championship they’ve relocated a few times and their last championship was all the way back in 1951 as the Rochester Royals.

Clippers are cursed but they have an overrated front office. They had SGA but wanted to fasttrack their success by trading for PG and then ended up with Pumpkin P. Clippers need to change their name and do a full rebrand. That might be the only way to lift the curse.

For the people that hate the clippers and think they are a joke, that is exactly the reason why I like them. You see, I'm not a big basketball fan, I'm more of a nerd (anime and videogames) but when I had to play nba2k I wanted to play as the team that is considered a joke and play them ironically. Then, as I began to get to know the players (strengths and weakness) I began to root for the team sincerely, and from then on, my loyalty lies with the clippers (not the players) I will forever stick with the team through highs and lows (which is almost all the time) nothing can make me care about basketball unless its the clippers playing, then I'll give it a few minutes of my attention. btw, the current clippers are probably the best version of the team right now but Lob City is what made me fall in love.

On top of the ongoing curse, Kawhi wins 2 rings in other teams, and then comes to this cursed team and gets injured every damn playoff series. Even the Klaw, the Terminator is stuck in it.

Imagine adding Kawhi to the Lob city teams. Or Adding Paul George. That would probably be it. You'd have to sacrifice alot, but they did that in the end anyway for PG lol

I'm not a Clipper fan, however I recognize the passion of Clippers owner Steve Ballmer... There are some pro sport owners who look at their team is a business pursuit. Not Ballmer, he's in it to win it. He will move mountains, make painful trades and he is ready to spend any amount money. He's even building the state of the art basketball stadium, the Intuit Dome, that is designed to be the noisiest stadium on the NBA. Be assured that one day the Clippers will be the champs. Curses only exist in the minds of the superstitious.
