Thank you Martin for your kind words! It has truly been a labour of love uncovering the house and trying to look after the place! Maybe in the future we will be granted permission to continue! Thank you for doing your bit and bringing the viewers! It all helps to keep the memory of this remarkable place in the minds of everyone ♥️

Presumably you were given the old Cease and Desist because now some poor student Surveyor and an H&S Executive will have to carry out a new bloody annoying 'Risk Assessment' to save the owner's arse in case someone falls over your lovingly horizontally placed sandstone (?) blocks. Rather than the nightmare tsunami of shattered slate, glass, brick and ironmongery that overwhelms the site still.

@@JP_TaVeryMuch yes indeed.. it is understandable however the site was and always has been potentially dangerous frankly since demolition in the 50s hopefully but doubtful we will get permission to carry on!…. One can hope! However we got enough done to prove the house does still exist 🙏

I am so grateful for the work you guys are have done. Me and my girlfriend came round a few months ago and saw you guys uncovering and working on the place. It's beyond madness the council has stopped you from doing such an excellent job on the place. Absolute shame on Bradford Council, is there any way you can appeal the decision?? I really do hope you guys can continue in future to reclaim and preserve this site for all to enjoy and see. Thank you so much for what you have done. X

@@Blind_Haze it wasn't Bradford council who stopped us infact they was contacted and they said it is nothing to do with them. It's actually Barnett Waddingham Trustees that own the land and put a stop to it.

I struggle to understand how this could possibly be left as it is. To have it uncovered as much as possible and for people to be able to enjoy what was a magnificent house has to be the way to go. Let’s hope any red tape crap can be overcome and this be cleared and appreciated for what it is.

Fantastic that you re-visited and filmed the work that has been done . Is great to see this amazing architecture that has been hidden for so long . Buildings like this need to properly cleaned so that the public can see them . Does need more work on as the earth work may well make the trees that have grown dangerous . Really needs a full works done on it . Great vid as always Darren .

I don’t want to be a killjoy as I love seeing what’s been discovered and would be up for digging out more to see what’s there. However now it’s been uncovered it’s not protected. The remains have lasted because the soil prevented wind, frost, rain etc from damaging what remained. Now it’s open to the elements it becomes very vulnerable. A lot of what has been uncovered was never meant to be outside. Unless it’s properly protected the fantastic preservation will be destroyed and in the future when technology perhaps can rebuild or reconstruct there will be nothing left. Yes it’s educational to see it but it needs to be there for future generations to learn and to help them respect the past. Thank you Darren for your amazing videos. I never comment or push my views forward but I felt I had to say this.

Seeing the huge number of bricks among the ruins demonstrates how the rich saved money by building much of their fancy piles in red brick, then facing it with stonework.

The house boating lake, now drained is just below and you can still see the dam wall and sluice gate where it was breached. It’s off to the right of the main downhill track and fed by a stream that passes under the old road. There was a boat house or pavilion but I haven’t found the remains yet. Great videos. Thank you.

Darren, is this part of your explore of Shipley Glen series? I will have to check out yours/MartinZ Explore of the Milner Field as i haven't seen it before. The colab with Mz i have seen was the Saltaire exploration. I have good child memories of riding up the Glen railway to the fun fair and tea rooms (with Peacocks) up by the craggs. I have mentioned it all in your other posts about Saltaire and the Glen. It was a popular event for walkers, family groups to walk from the Glen cafe to Ilkley over the Ilkley Moor either Easter Monday or maybe Whitsuntide Monday. I wonder if any others can remember this happening? Cheers DougT
