My grandpas name was Heinz, he was an angel! It's short for Heinrich (Henry in English), it's a very common name in German speaking countries (more so for the older generation though)

I knew multiple people in my school named Heinz, it was short for Heinrich but still. Also Heinrich Sedin (don’t know how to spell the last name) who played on the Vancouver Canuck’s was probably called Heinz by some people as it is a very common last name for Heinrich.
