Join us as we find truck parts, bicycles, lots of goldfish and other strange things in this rock quarry! Thanks Simon and Kevin for all the help making this video!
Much love to you guys for cleaning this place up. I too was quite alarmed by how much garbage was there the first time I visited this spot. I've been wanting to organize a clean up of this beautiful place. Perhaps we could team up on this. Great video though! It's really cool to see what's down below the surface of the beautiful turquoise water.
What an awesome spot. I'm in saint John. This is new to me. Thanks for picking up the garbage as you go along your journey. You have know idea how many animal/mammal/birds or humans you may have saved from injury or death!
I've come here a lot through the years and always try to grab some garbage. It's a shame that people mistreat it. Good on you for spending you time cleaning up the mess. Also a very cool video, I have always been curious as to what it looks like down there!
been my favorite spot since i was a kid, that and elgin falls, check that out Elgin on the way to moncton.. great you cleaned up,!! always wondered what was down there!!
Watch as many times as you want. I appreciate the support! The thumbnail is very similar to the video I did the year before. I think it's cool to see how the car has changed over one year especially after that stolen truck had landed on the car and broke the television that was on top of it.
you can get ti the cuts if you go through hampton over the bridge before you turn left by the vegetable stand to go to belisle. go straight and thete is a road on the left about 3 minutes on the left of thst road. turn left then left again and a quick right. the road to the cuts is on the right off thst road....good luck
those gold fish could cause a serious treat to native fish if they make their way to a river system, ,,, cool as it is to see then ,, DFO of natural resources should be notified of their presents, as they are a invasive species here in canada ,,
the clarity of the water is surprising. Its hard to dive those spots with no current. When you kick up some silt it usually sticks around for a while. Been by the cuts a few times with the ATV's but it nice to have a different perspective. People don't realize how invasive a species golf fish are.
I went in early June to get the best vis. If you go later in the summer the algae bloom turns the water a greenish colour and reduces the vis quite a bit.
Should check out the pipeline road.(trail now). Three pits there that I recall full of old cars bikes washers. Would be too dangerous to dive though I think. Park at the Res and walk toward the airport and they are on either side of the road, trail cause it's all grown in now since I was a kid. Spent many summers playing and later partying back there.
this was really cool to see i like it, how do u deal with the pressure tho i’ve tried swimming down but feels like ur eardrums gonna explode never understood that
That's a great question. I just naturally equalize my ears on the way down mostly by moving my jaw or swallowing. It's a subconscious thing that I do. Similar to when on an airplane. You will get better at it the more you put yourself in that situation, either you equalize or it will hurt and you won't want to go deeper. With scuba gear you start feeling the crush around 6 ft and if you have a cold it will be painful on your sinus and you won't want to keep going deeper without equalizing.
These absolutely aren't wild, someone dumped their pets here and they've multiplied. Goldfish are cold water fish/fish meant for ponds so they can overwinter here. They 100% should not be there
I have a question someone I know lost there iPhone in Freddy do you have a email I can contact you at? Maybe you could get I video and possible find the phone?
The car was burned on top of the quarry and then was pushed in over the ledge. There was a stolen truck driven over the same exact spot and actually landed on this burned out car. Thanks for watching
Typical… there are always those that do not respect the cool outdoor resources we have in NB. Seems NB has a higher per capita share of this ilk than most other places
