Exactly. I noticed it the other day and was halfway to leave his channel. Today, I looked just in to check what it is about. And this is it - so far the stupidest topic concerning the Cybertruck. Is the author paid to make potential buyers disgusted? He succeeded and I'm ditching his channel. He was looking very open and funny at first, but now this is too much for me, I don't see a point watching negative stuff.
@DennisCW Not att attention is good attention...youre creating a negative narrative about yourself...might push brands away that might want to work with you
I ordered the dual motor on 12/9. $4k Powershare installation is included per my house survey approval email that I got from Tesla a few weeks back. That puts your valuation right at $20k. Even this has a $20k premium I rather pay that to the OEM for R&D than some greedy dealership.
Dual motor does NOT come with installation credit. It ONLY comes with the hardware. Says so on the website AND the email I received with my dual motor survey.
@@CallsignVega here is the email I received from Tesla after ordering my truck and completing the survey Thank you for completing the Powershare Home Backup survey. Your order is eligible for Powershare Home Backup hardware installation. Once your VIN is assigned and your delivery is scheduled, we will match you with a Tesla Certified Installer who will reach out to you to schedule a site visit. You will receive a follow-up email from Tesla once you have been matched with an installer.
Did the email read: thank you for donating your hard earned money for a kind of truck that will only work for a few years before you need a new battery and give us another 20K.
Just got invited to buy the Foundation CT so thank you for the video. Very timely. I won’t use FSD and Foundation tires have less range so can’t justify the extra cost. Plus if you qualify for the $7,500 tax deduction the actual AWD Foundation CT is a $27,500 premium. Also, a wise old pilot said never fly the A model of any aircraft. Probably applies to cars as well so I will wait for my turn at non-Foundation series. Thanks to all the early adopters like you who are putting it through its paces. I hope Tesla is paying attention to your great videos and all the other CT content. Keep up the great work.
"...lifetime, ten years or whatever it is!?" Those are hugely different spans of time so I'd think whichever it is really matters as far as value is concerned.
I already put down my non-refundable deposit, and just waiting for a VIN. I can replace my car and my truck with the Cybertruck, and wanted most of the add on accessories anyway.
It’s like asking someone who bought a Lamborghini Urus if it was worth it. Obviously, no for many who didn’t buy it but yes for that individual who bought it. The vast majority of the people are buying this as a large super car, not as a work truck.
Amazing video. I got two foundations dual and TriMotor and gonna make content on it but thanks to this video I’m sticking with Cyberbeast and if I get dual motor it’s gonna be for Turo or rideshare privately :). Venues. ❤🥳
The FS was a pure money grab by Tesla. Your paying a premium for software that is not even functioning yet. You won’t be able to tell a $99k CyberBeast from a $61k RWD model except for the wheels and tires which can easily be swapped out.
I saw on your link why you were using 7K when FSD is selling for 12K (looking at S/X/3 configurator)? Not all early reservation folks added FSD, but maybe most did. I wonder if Tesla will honor it anyway :). When I got my Foundation series invite, I ordered the Cyberbeast version, so you can see where I come out on it I guess. Thanks for compiling that link of costs by the way, very helpful.
I always prefer oem wheels and tires because that’s what the vehicle was the designed to use and it’s not good for efficiency and wear/tear of the components. I realize that everyone is out there pushing expensive Cybertruck accessories for those with tons of cash to modify their suspension, wheels and tires to make their truck stand out amongst the crowd. I personally love the stainless steel, but I would want clear paint protection film to keep those fingerprints away. Tesla is taking advantage of the current excitement and offering people upgrades to get their trucks sooner if they upgrade to a special edition.
@@DennisCW I agree, both are nice, but to go on trips not near Superchargers the greatest range wins. I see so many of these RU-vidrs driving their electric cars all over the USA, but they rarely leave the major highways. We took a trip across the middle of Nevada, once on US50 and once across the Extraterrestrial Highway. Nevada has many north/south mountain ranges that would be great to explore, but not with an electric vehicle. I have a bunch of adapters to plug into most electrical outlets, but you can’t just trespass onto someone’s homestead and ask if you can plug into their electric dryer, range or window air conditioner. I prefer to have no tailpipe, but you can’t do it all today’s technology. Our 2018 dual motor Model 3 is extremely comfortable and safe but our 2016 Ford Cmax PHEV has twice the range. Ford messed us up when they disconnected the Cmax. Today we would have to buy a Bronco or a Bronco Sport PHEV if one comes out.
Keep in mind when you put those on, you do have the DOT legal requirement of adding those three goofy lights to the front and rear of the truck because you are now too wide… Apparently. I don't think anyone's gonna care but just a heads up@@DennisCW
Here is a quick question for you. There are four bolts on the floor of the bed between Smugglers Bay and the rear window. They are calling them tiedown bolts to put D rings end but it also happens to be the exact spot that the extended battery goes so I'm curious if you undo those four bolts can you pick that panel up? That might give us a view of how easy it will be to plug in or unplug the extender
Seeing a handful of first owners it’s pretty clear folks buying it have zero need for a truck. Used ones will flood the market when the novelty wears off and folks realize sometimes a truck is a PITA to drive around daily in a city.
Yo! You are forgetting having the high paying Tesla engineers running HFM through that laser etching for the "FOUNDATION" label... That along will be worth $5.00 more for each label! Super worth it if you ask me... lol. In reality, it's also the inherent value that only a limited numbers of CT will have those laser-etched labels, which probably will be a collectors' vehicle in the future, value of that $20k might be increased.
I don’t think its worth it but I think the $15k valuation is off. Personal perceived value or not at $7k, the current MSRP for FSD is $12k so that should be factored in and you’re not paying for a markup but instead paying MSRP for all the accessories and add ons.
I just got my foundation invite today and just watched your video. What happens if I don’t respond or get the car, am I still able to get the ordinary dual motor when the foundation series is over?
I just got my invite Tuesday (3-12-24). Thanks for this video posting the value of items vs $20k. I still have a question, I’m about to order the CyberBeast and I already have Solar with PowerWalls. Will I get $4000 + hardware credit for already having a gateway installed for PowerShare?
It’s worth it , £100.000 for a 1 week bed on the orient express . Full stainless steel ,the whole series was a really bad reality of this super truck. A new direction in building too
the way I see this is...I am paying $20k to experience what it feels like to be a celebrity. And not just any celebrity. From what I see in your videos, you're getting tier-one superstar treatment everywhere you go, so that's pretty cool. Also it's obvious the Cybertruck will be iconic in auto history, so a few decades later the Foundation Series can easily be worth a million easy.
🤔... so it's really a $50k mark up because the awd was supposed to be $50k but you are paying for market adjustment of $30k and an additional $20k for an early one
When you are 73 with recent quad heart surgery / issue is time more than money. Young guys can wait to save a few thousand dollars and probably should if you have o finance, my kids can inherit cars instead of cash.
Dude just sell it to someone who wants one. You keep making lame clickbait videos. Seems you only bought it to make content anyways. Just flip it and buy a Rivian, I'm tired of seeing you in my Tesla vidoes.
@@DennisCW Just rent it out until you're allowed to sell it. Maybe they will make content that is actually good. All you've done is put mods on it and make reaction videos. Did you even plan on doing truck things with it when you bought it?
Canceled my FS order. Going to replace my P100D with a plaid. I’ll just keep my F150. Honestly the whole buzz on the CT is all just hype. I would regret spending 100k on another Tesla that will be worth less than half in 5 years because Tesla will certainly slash prices and greatly improve the CT.
Hey 98 percent of Electric cars are STILL on the road !!! 2 % made it HOME !!!! You have to have money to burn to spend so much money on these things..
Received the email but been sitting on it for the past few days … it’s just pricey as fuck, unless anyone has any idea how to have it pay for some of itself 🤷🏻♂️😔 I want it bad too ahh….
I got the email last month. The cost delta is closer to $30k for me. The regular AWD is $80k, less $7.5k tax credit, less almost $2k for sales tax. That’s $29.5k delta. I’m going to wait. I don’t care for FSD. I like the PowerShare, but there’s no $4k credit for installation so no go.
I'd say you got ripped on the whole deal, truck included. An extra $20k for tires, plastic panels and some software? 😂 that's wild! Just think about what $120k could get you, you could literally build your own EV for less.
Teslas are such a racket! Cybertruck is already so obsolete. The only thing it has going for it is the weird design, which honestly only looks like a scaled up edgy 2010 Prius. Paying for any of this is NOT worth it, lol get a Rivian and get more bang for $120K! 🤣Best EV deal right now would be the Fisker Ocean. For $120K, the Lexus LC 500 is SO worth it! (I know totally different car, but come on!)
the first 3-4 items you mentioned $equate to only 2-3 percent of the $20,000 premium! This is TESLA flipping their own products to those they made wait 4 years while they doubled prices. Only 20 percent of buyers pay for $12,500 FSD across S3XY models. So you figure it out.
