In this conversation with Anthony Peake we discuss the bold hypothesis he calls ‘Cheating the Ferryman’: when we die we fully relive our lives again and again (a bit like the film Groundhog Day) Anthony proposes that we are composed of two entities, the Daemon who has lived our life over and over and remembers it all, who provides guidance to the Eidolon who is renewed every new life. We talk about Deja vus and its relation to this hypothesis, temporal lobe epilepsy, schizophrenia, cannabis induced psychosis, near death experiences, DMT, Ketamine and synchronicity. Anthony has now written eight books, co-authored a ninth and co-edited a tenth. All of them develop his Cheating the Ferryman hypothesis into ever-wider areas of application.
