Sir, what is the meaning of the lines "A poet could not be but gay, In such a jocund company:" I interpret them in 2 way, please tell if any of them is correct. 1.A sensitive person as a poet would be so lost in the company of daffodils or he would enjoy it so much that he will forget the other people around him and so would not be able to make others feel happy. Or 2. The sight of daffodils is so delightful that even a poet(sensitive person) cannot make us feel that delighted. Or 3.both are wrong. Sir please explain.
