This startup IS going to be successful! Today we hit the ground running and keep running until it's over. You've got to keep a lot of irons in the fire when you're starting a business, and I'm doing my best to juggle them. It takes a lot of work to be a Successful Contractor, but if you don't put it in, you're not going to get it back.

Great content-real life stuff Mark for the fence industry. Really like the h-beam concept, that is a game changer. Will add- that competition whiteboard will be a winner! We did this for our 5 sales staff members and it set them on fire! This is one topic we discuss in the Fenceline to Success training. Well done. Keep on Fencing!

Oooooh. I can’t wait to see that gate installed. So like do I need to get a Tesla or what? All the cool people drive them apparently.
@SuccessfulContractor

I highly recommend the Tesla. A solar gate demands to be used by an EV.

Hi Mark, you are producing some great content! Do you have any experience with Fence Cloud or CFS for estimating? I have no experience with either but am looking to choose between Job Nimbus and Fence Cloud or possibly using both. Fence Cloud has a CRM built-in and appears to make estimating easier. Any help is appreciated.
@SuccessfulContractor

We have CFS currently, but are looking at switching to fence cloud I just haven’t had any time to fully invest in it. If I was starting out for the first time, I would definitely use fence cloud over CFS since that’s where the future is.

We provide him leads. He’s not so freelance anymore. 😉

Great video, how do you keep the u channel inserts square when pounding? I've pounded 2" Montage square posts with mixed results due to twisting
@SuccessfulContractor
@SuccessfulContractor 2 года назад
You can twist them back with a home made wrench. However if your careful it usually doesn’t twist much unless your in rock.

Awesome content! Thank you. Do your QB assemblies sync up with JobNimbus? I had a consultation with them and they could not figure out how to do that.
@SuccessfulContractor
@SuccessfulContractor 2 года назад
In a way they do. Our job nimbus estimates mirror our quick books grouped items. However, when it pulls over it isn’t a grouped item but it doesn’t matter because the customer doesn’t see any of the QB stuff anymore. Customers only see estimates and invoices from JN.

@@SuccessfulContractorAhh! I think I’m picking up what you’re throwing down. So you’re not originating your items to create the grouped items from JN, but rather QB, but they show up in JN on an estimate or transaction? You track your item costs (and by default grouped items) and sell prices in QB but they show up in JN as you create estimates and invoices?
@SuccessfulContractor
@SuccessfulContractor 2 года назад
The only benefit to the grouped item was being able to suppress information that I didn’t want to show customers. Now that we don’t show the customers any of the invoices or estimates from QuickBooks the grouped items are not important. We have simply set up a JobNimbus so that it shows the information we want to the customer and that is mapped to our items and accounts in QuickBooks so that the accounting is correct

@@SuccessfulContractor Man, thank you so much for taking the time to explain that! I sure do appreciate it. If you’re ever in the Plant City or Tampa area please reach out! Lunch is on me.

How many in person leads can each of your salesmen handle in a day on average and have send out to potential customer
@SuccessfulContractor
@SuccessfulContractor 2 года назад
We only do four but we expect them to do full detailed takeoffs withdrawings so that if the project is awarded we have all the information we need. It’s not good enough to look at the jobs they actually have to turn in four bids a day as well.
