In her first workout book Jane Fonda talks about how when she was a young starlet she was going through all kinds of diets and the studio system were wanting her to look how they wanted her to look
Really interesting video Laura! OMG! That tapeworm thing completely freaked me out! 🤢🤮 Would love to see a Film Noir video, and perhaps a Silent Film Era makeup video!
I love your content but I also think you have a really relaxing, pleasant voice- honestly you could probably post a video reviewing vacuum cleaners and I’d still watch 😂 I do enjoy the diet videos though, particularly trends from the 40s-60s. I just find it fascinating.
I know it sounds weird, but the milk and egg combo Marilyn was feeding herself is excellent for an active body. It also helps reduce hunger when you ingest high protein foods like eggs and whole milk. Eggs are very good for the body.
@@vanesavaldez626 E. coli in eggs is extraordinarily rare these days, you could eat raw eggs every day and it would be decades before you’d contract anything.
During this last Christmas I caught White Christmas on TV, I was shocked again how thin Vera-Ellen was. It prompted me to google her and wow what a story she had. She may be of interest to you. Thank you for another wonderful video!
I feel both women and men are still are expected to look skinny” for a certain role today fast thru drugs ,in the 2024. Great videos as per usual, Laura. You do your reaserch girl.
I love your content soo much and your voice is so soothing! You put so much work in your videos they’re always amazing! I hope you reach tons of subscribers this year cuz you really deserve it!!! 💜
Awesome video, as usual. I believe you're Canadian so you might not know Tupelo is pronounced two puh low. I tried the cabbage soup diet in the 90s. It's not super unhealthy but you will just lose water weight.
So sad the things they went through just so they could look a certain way and work. I remember the day Elvis died. I was at my friend's house and we heard the news on the radio. I got so upset that I had to go home. I was a big Elvis fan, and we even used to eat those banana peanut butter sandwiches all the time. I don't really eat them anymore though. Interesting video Laura :)
Plus Laura, noticed your cat pillow on your bed! A fellow cat mum? I’m not surprised . Soft spoken, that works w small animals, excellent diction.i see you.! I’ve a cat too!😊
Dearest Laura. Please remember Elvis was genetically pre disposed to heart disease. Obviously his diet didn't help. I agree it would horrify to be host to a tapeworm 😮 Thanks for this very interesting video. Love from Corinne. Enland❤
