The Dangers of Arrogance & The Blessings of Humility {Jumu'ah Khutbah} | Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi} 

Whoever is reading this: I pray Allah blesses you all with humility and unites you and your family in Jannah’tul Firdaws. Ameen 🙏🏽🦋

May Allah remove any arrogance from our hearts and make us among the righteous ameen.

I hope all those arrogant people watching change and humble themselves.

I am afraid of myself for those arogant evil thought of a arogant personlity.😭

"Humility does not mean you give up the Dunya. Humility means if you have [blessings in the Dunya], you don't consider yourself worthy of it. You thank Allah [swt], 'Allah has given me.' You never say 'this is because of me' " - 20:26

May God forgive any time i have been arrogant in any way. May He grant me a Humble heart, that is pleasing to Him & bring Peace with my surroundings.

Never think you are better because of your qualification and others don't have same as you... Remember that I hope people agree with me on this

I listen to this lecture on the regular just to remind myself of who I am or what I should be!

As a new Muslim I struggle with sexual tension. This has been a long struggle I know for a fact how Allah tests us. I believe that I will be able to overcome porn addiction. I want to enter Jannah one day. I need to overcome my sins.

Our Lord ! Place us not with the people who are wrongdoers.(7:47)

Things to do to gain humility: 1) knowledge- anything you do you begin with knowledge. Knowledge of the blessings of humility and dangers of arrogance. The signs of humility 2) self reflection. You have to monitor the symptoms in your heart. 3) participate in activities that others may think is beneath you. Participated in building the masjid. 4) ask Allah for humility.

*The Pharoah is the epitome of Arrogance when he said "I am God". How about husbands who act suprior to their wives? My sister is a Math genius and her husband is a Mechanical Engineer. After marriage he was surprised at her math abilities and would keep her busy with mundane cooking, house work, & breeding more babies and NEVER discussed her love of Math. Of course marriage ended in divorce with children at one parent. He refused to give any money to my sister or his children. He was full of JEALOUSLY!! Amazing that one jealous of own children's mother!! Arrogance simply put is STUPIDITY !!

Asalam aleikum wa rahamtu Allah brother Yasir. I had a question about arrogance. I live outside of the US, but I'm American and from the US, and it is sometimes very frustrating when living in a "Muslim" country and the people throw trash all over, they do not even try to clean up the land and streets. Is it arrogance to complain about this?? I have been told that it is backbiting a whole country if you say anything about their bad habits, such as throwing trash in the streets, corruption, etc. Is this true? I do not want to be held to account for backbiting an entire nation, or be accused of being arrogant because I feel that it is not good to live a lifestyle where you don't care about what your country looks like. Please let me know as this is really worries me, as I don't want to follow Iblis out of ignorance and I haven't found anything online that covers this. Jazaka Allah khayr.
