Rank Countries and regions Life expectancy at birth (in years) Overall 1 Hong Kong 84.7 2 Japan 84.5 3 Singapore 83.8 36 United States 78.9 People in Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore probably eat five times more soy than people in the United States, and yet their life expectancy is higher than that of the United States. Actually, almost nobody in Asia eats soy as is. It is most commonly grinded into powder form like tofu. Tofu is not fermented and yet it is eaten daily. Monks and nuns eat tofu as a substitute for meat. I believe it's safer to eat tofu than to eat McDonald's hamburgers and fries.

For thousands of years, millions across Asia have eaten soy every day of their lives - without any problems. Try to beat that long term study!

Yes, and they fermented it before they ate it! The problem is with unfermented soy.

Better Done Yourself Not always. They eat and drink unfermented soy as well.

c3pfett , not in Traditional Societies of old. You should really look into the late Dr Weston A Price's research. He spent a good deal of his lifetime researching why many cultures who still followed their ancestral practices of preparing food such as grains, legumes, dairy, vegetables... still had all their teeth well into their 80s and 90s, many of whom lived to be centurions and the elders still had all their mental facilities. He passed much of his research and findings onto a Dr Hal Huggins DDS/Immunologist. Sadly, Dr Huggins died a couple of years ago in his 80s.

TheChefLady4JC: Thank you for that information. A few days ago I became so frustrated about what is good for us to eat or not when I realized that I need to learn how our ancestors ate. So I wrote down this doctor's name. I am tired of the insanity. Thank you ❤

Annette Morrison , no problem. Glad I could help. Btw, BDY shared a link to Nourishing Traditions cookbook by Sally Fallon under the description here in this video. Sally Fallon subscribes to the Weston A Price Foundation Traditional Cooking methods.

I have discovered that fermented foods contain high levels of histamine. Best not to eat too many during allergy season if bothered with hay fever. Solution, ferment in summer and eat in the autumn. Love your channel.

Soy lies are just like wheat lies. Most of the problems lay with the production. Glyphosate in wheat. GMO soy. If you remove those factors moderate consumption is acceptable.

What lies?
@rem3266
@rem3266 6 лет назад
Keith Barbaro The lie is that soy and wheat are bad for you to cover up the fact that Monsanto has poisoned the crops to mass produce them and make massive amounts of money. Glyphosate and genetic modification has made them harmful.

GMO is fine, its literally just scientists influencing and speeding up evolution, and the science behind glyphosate is unconclusive. While yes, its better to stick organic and avoid large amounts of wheat or soy when possible, hold your horses with your lies and misinformation sir, your making the cause of eating healthy look bad to anybody who could potentially be interested.

Pottinger's Human No it doesn’t. This has been comprehensively studied. Newest trail from 2018: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6057888/ Meta-analysis of over 100 studies: www.fertstert.org/article/S0015-0282(09)00966-2/fulltext Go ahead: find me one controlled study on humans that shows a decrease of testosterone in males. You can’t because it doesn’t exist. Stop pulling claims out of your ass.

You cannot get animal hormones from meat or dairy only an absolute moron would believe this. Plant hormone mimics are poisons and that is why they don't break down in the stomach they would not work if they did.

Yeah but does fermenting fix GMO? You'll be hard pressed to find non-gmo soy grown here!

I struggle to understand how fermentation amps up nutrients but breaks down the bad compounds like he says in the video. What I don't understand is where does the broken down compounds go?
@seantv1510
@seantv1510 6 лет назад
The compounds don't necessarily go away, they are converted into healthier substances. The indigestible sugars are transformed into healthier acids.

This is a wildly click baity title that doesn't even remotely relate what Sandor appears to be talking about. You should be embarrassed. I for one will be making it a point to avoid any of videos I come across.
