2015 Clown: "I got set on fire because people weren't paying attention to their jobs properly" 1999 - 2001 Slipknot: *sets each other on fire intentionally for the sake of the performance*
I remember that i was just sitting like why even 7 year old me was bruh why i was i think it was sid was on fire then he walk to crahn then corey got set on fire they kept spreading the fire to each other corey took the longest to notice one time he look at the fire and ignored it and kept singing until it started spreading more i was like bruh why but he put it put quick sid and crahn took the longest to set the fire off it was bc the flames some the stage got on him and instead of like stepping on it he wave it arpund in the air and made it worst 😂
Clown's the MAJOR reason a lot of the guys have injuries. He throws steel pipes, his sticks, his kegs, starts fights, vomits on them, launches himself at them. Not gonna lie: I thought this video was a compilation of ways Clown injured the band.
Not to mention there's nine guys up there with enough testosterone that (if injected directly into the bloodstream) could turn Justin Bieber into Vin Diesel.
The light disorientation is probably how Sid broke his feet. He makes that jump all the time from the Drum riser to his DJ set, and that one time he fucked it up. Probably just got super disoriented and misjudged the jump.
Lights where flashing and he thought the jump wasnt that far so he jumped off but due too him wearing motorcycle racing boots it had no cushioning and it broke his feet from the shock
+Mike Pickle Yeah I remembered he injured some girl in England a long time ago. He was crying when he visited her, but the girl told him she didn't care she had a great time.
More than that, do you remeber the flamethrowing guitar? The flaming angel wings? The firework cannon? The bowl that a member sat in while sprayed with fire? The time tal set himself on fire
Anybody else like their little briefcase shrines going on? Yoda, ET, Stormtroopers, skulls. I think I even saw Predator. I love these guys! Heavy metal nerds after my own heart.
+Dead Pool It is all metal though. It falls under the heavy metal genre, then goes under whatever subcategory the band, fans, or the industry decides to label it. I am not a purist or a musician. As long as they make music. They can call it "Heavy Hometown" New Wave, cold filtered, low-calorie dry, for all this fan cares. LOL.
+Dead Pool they are new wave of american metal. thrash bands are like from the 80;s and 90;s there arent any true thrash acts any more. even the best like exodus and other 2 guitar team thrash bands have moved on to the more modern heavier sound. like for example testament, great thrash band, re did songs from the first two records, but with new sound style, and the last several albums havent been thrash, but alex being back has brought a bit of the thrash feel back. i for one am saddened, thrash is my fave of the metal genres. i will give an example of what you are doing. i think D.R.I. is a thrash band they have songs and albums about thrashing, but most people say they are skater punk. sometimes we call things by the elements of the category we like best.
Shawn Crahan seems like that one uncle of yours that you don’t know if he’s older or younger than your parent that he’s a sibling to but is always super badass and nice to you like buying you ice cream then letting you smoke his cigarettes or gives you a beer when you bring him one he asked you to grab him beer from the fridge
Never really seen much of Rammstein live. But after reading your comment i went and watched some. And they are absolutely the Kings of pyro. That shit is insane.
I've been working as stagehand in Mexico city and had the privilege to work for Tool production and with Kiss production. But daaaamn seeing this video it looks amazing all what are Slipknot production doing, I would love to work at one of their show as a local crew.
Michael Flores sadly no :/ by policy we stagehand aren't allowed to stay close of the artist, meet them, take pics with them or pics to the stage, if we get caught they fire us on the spot, unless the artists say the opposite. I've been working in 2 small promotors with metal shows only in there i've been able to meet the bands.
at least here in Mexico is something in between "know guy that knows that a guy" and "luck if you found the offer" in my case i entered from part of my cousin, he told me when they were hiring and in his case a friend of him told him, and i don't know how do they get paid in other countries but for a 12 hour turn we get paid $280.00 MXN that are like $16.96 USD according to my conversion, but it has some highs and lows the job. The highs is that you can see a lot of things that general public never imagined, it's an amazing life experience being able to work with people from around the world and know how things are made in other places. Buuuut sadly i haved more lows than highs; some crew chiefs are fucking assholes that are above you because they knew somebody and got the job without starting as stagehand, some productions are horrible to work, you put your life at risk(in a show i fell and hurted my back and in march at Electric Daisy Carnival some fuckface in the climber crew almost let fall some stage props over my crew), once again crewchiefs and human resources are assholes and stagehand get in an get out very quickly in a level that they hire people 2 times at year for stagehand and for security they do it 3 times at year. We stagehand are lucky 'cause it's rare when we don't get food but poor security guys, they can have 18 hours turns without eating a single time. Chain of command for stagehands sometimes is nasty as fuck. But i can't get out 'cause i haven't find another job, but at least i'll start studying musical production and live audion engineering.
Man In not a huge Slipknot fan..They definitely have a part in my teenage years...I just didn't realize how intelligent and diverse these guys are..Much respect guys..rock the fuck on
Im a stagehand of over a decade there is alot of danger in any rock or theater stages. And shows with heavy pyrotechnics are especially taken into percaustion.
I was at a Tattoo the Earth show in Kansas back in 2000 and the pyros set on whole side of the curtains on fire...Jim dropped his guitar and ran for his life. "You never know what your going to get at a Slipknot show" said Corey
