One of the biggest shows on TV for a decade. I had a crush on Angela cartwright. Danny was a Saint he built St Judes mostly with his own money. God rest his soul.

Danny could sing dance act dramatic or comedy he was a Saint dear God how we need him now love you Danny.

That was The Danny Thomas Show in essence . He would yell and complain about an issue then apologize and at the end would sing a wistful song at the piano .

Danny's in Lorna Luft's book. Early in her career, she appeared with him live. She was getting too much applause, so he would make snarky remarks about her. It got to the point where he had the stage lights turned off so she would have to find her way to the mike in total darkness. Plus, he was a player when away from his wife.
