In the Manga Hunter × Hunter The Dark Continent or the forbidden land is the place that stretches beyond the known world that is nested inside the gigantic lake Mobius. The ancestors of humans and magical beasts likely originate from there according to ancient ruins, the dark continent however is no sight for soar eyes as it contains the most dangerous life forms capable of annihilating the whole human race and because of that the v5 have banned all knowledge and access to the dark continent because of safety concerns.
