I just saw your video on tiktok and had to find out more about it!! Thanks for sharing the story because I wouldn’t have known about it otherwise!! Do you happen to know how he was able to convince the Greenlanders to let him take the meteorites if they are considered sacred?

What I was reading implied that Peary said he wanted to go visit the meteorites, and a Greenlander led him there, but he never made his intention clear that he wanted to take them until he was there with a bunch of ships. While some Greenlanders did help him remove the meteorites, I wouldn't say they gave him permission (especially with the power dynamics at play).
