I personally think that Ledger and Bale made the greatest Batman and Joker team of all time! Both great actors, both killed it and playing Joker and Batman
Bale could not do a good Batman voice and both Batman and Bruce Wayne in the Nolan films were written to be a little too stupid for my liking. Ledger owns this film tho
*Joker's gang man takes a scare with the spark* *Joker laughs madly and jumps on top of him* * Gordon comes out of nowhere and points the shotgun for the Joker's neck* -AAAAH! Could you please give me a minute? Best scene ever
Brasco probably could have if it was not over hyped by leto from pictures to posters to music videos and public apperances. if he stayed quiet and gave us a little as possible before the movie, letos joker might have had a chance.
Why is this movie so friggin awesome? This is the peak of the Batman franchise for me. And what does it say that the actor that made this movie what it is killed himself? Kudos to jack nicholson of course.
Good to know you sound like a murderous psychopath at black jack tables XD "Hit me! HIT ME!" "You okay bud...?" "HIT ME! I WANT YOU TO DO IT...come on come on hit me. HIT ME!"
this is how I feel when I get into RU-vid arguments ... lol HIT ME!!

The Joker, one true evil knows how to sacrifice himself for the bad. The perfect antagonist who possesses no fear nor desire. He's also pure but nothing is as pure and as cruel as a child. Nowadays the movies are too one sided where the protagonists are the ones made with all the qualities to protect the light. Which made people think that those who serve the dark are a bunch of weaklings. But not at all, there are individuals that are on the parallel level compared to the heroes in terms of mentality, ability and characteristics... They saw the truth as well but they're rot. They enjoyed the act of killing, knowing full well that there are people out there who are trying to bring peace to the world, who are going to succeed in the end, and who are born to end their lives.
No, nowadays, it's the exact opposite. Absolutely everything is grey on grey morality, which eventually just leads to black on black morality and endless nihilism. Nobody thought about what "there are no heroes" really means. It means there's nobody left to root for.
I just have one question?? The Joker actually makes alot of sense here in this movie and he actually had alot of good points! I just dont remember all of it!
If you watch the similarities of the Joker and the main character from The Shining, Jack Torrance, while in the state of psychosis, played by Jack Nicholson,, is quite convincing.
Fun Fact: *This scene pays homage to the Come to me Joker scene from Tim Burtons 1989 Batman. Instead of a Batwing shooting rockets and machine guns, its a Bat-cycle*
An absolute definition of the word "Monster", he just shakes off a flipped over truck and any trauma just to give batman another shot at killing him directly.
heath ledger is the ultimate joker, if they try and redo the movie later i feel bad for the next guy to pay him, their gunna be some might big shoes to fill
Reminiscent of the original Batman movie, where Batman shot at the Joker from his plane but intentionally did not hit him, and was forced to crash as the result.
I always wonder who was the better villain in the Nolan trilogy, Joker or Bane. Say, if you dropped those 2 in random places in Gotham, starting out with nothing (no followers or connections, just themselves) aside from what equipment is on them, and go from there and recruit followers from scratch. Who would come out on top?
something about this scene always bothered me and i couldn't figure out what it was until now. You're telling me that Batman's ride had no rubber bullets? No non-lethal ammo to just hit the joker in the knee? He was shooting missiles from his bike
MAN Joker wants Batman to break his one rule, he wants him to kill someone. And if that someone happens to be Joker, that doesn't matter - remember in the end Batman pushed him off the skyscraper and Joker laughed all the way down because he won and broke Batsy? But then B-man brought him back up and Joker was annoyed.. I also think that the Joker feels strongly connected to Batman and just want them to colide and colide again, not only for his sadomasochystic pleasure but also because of the way he can affect Batman and push his buttons and.. play with him. xD
More people should be like batman. Even though he has the chance to kill someone who has killed thousands, he does not wish that upon anyone, even the joker
Yeah alot of people don't, God doesn't want anyone to die, but to save thousands, is it ok for one to die? Still no. But there are times when you have to do what you have to do to save those thousands because there are times when we don't have all the answers and it's the only thing we can think of at the moment.
Instead he 'locks away' him in an asylum he knows he can escape from, since he's done it numerous times before, so that he can kill thousands more. if everyone was like batman, jokers would rule the world.
David Cruickshank If Batman killed the joker that would make himself just as bad as him. (A criminal) Its technically not Batman fault that the prison can't keep criminals in custody lol
Justin Kiwi Batman is fucking rich, why doesn't he build a good prison to keep joker etc locked up. Also batman wouldn't be as bad as the joker because batman would have saved countless lives and the city billions stopping him.
David Cruickshank I don't think building a good prison is the solution because it seems like it's always the city's fault for hiring crooked cops... which is difficult to not do since the city is so shitty and second of all killing one life, with the intent to do so of course, makes you a murderer no matter what.
I don't remember clearly so forgive me. I love that joker just shoots at cars next batman to really emphasize how horrible he really is and wants him to break his rule of no killing. Batman sees that he's willing to kill and still decides to let the man live.
Man the part where he go on batman and put his knife on him and the other dude comes behind him and joker says "can you please just give me a minute" that just killed me and 2:12 gotta love the joker lmao
"We got you" Gordon finds out later it was all part of the Joker's desire to be caught so he couldn't necessarily be directly tied to the kidnapping of Rachel and Harvey. He got them.
What I love about the scene is that the joker was completely fine about any possible outcome of Batman running him over or not If he goes to jail he wins If he dies he wins
Normally I absolutely hate superhero/comic book movies but The Dark Knight is fantastic. It's dark, it's gritty, it's violent and Heath Ledger's acting and improvisation is incredible and that's an enormous understatement. He is literally my favorite part of the whole film. He's also damn sexy...
