Man 2010-14 was the PEAK of mobile games. People then expected we’d be playing console quality games by now, but developers decided to chase easy money instead
That's not entirely true. 2010-2014 mobile games were just carried by gameloft. And I suppose some classics like coc, subway surfers if that's the type of games you're talking about. There's been a lot of pc games with a mobile version lately like apex legends, fortnite and cod.
Those good old days of Gameloft... 😭 Nova 2,3, Batman, MC 3,4, Asphalt 7, 8, Xtreme, Brothers in Arms 3, Six Guns, Amazing Spiderman 1,2, Gangstar Rio, Vegas... And now it's all about money. 😑 Edit:- Thanks to everyone those who reminded me few other titles, that i forgot to write initially. 🤗
@@sakshamsinha7181 asphalt 8 was also good in those initial 2-3 years, gradually they went on adding tons of micro transactions and ruined it. 😑 The Apple Arcade version of Asphalt 8 seems to be the best option now, no in game transactions and less grinding than the normal one.😇
@@ThePlagueDoctor1490 much of it's mechanics were inspired by rhe arkham games. Even the combat as well as the moves he makes likes the kicks or punches were directly taken from arkham city.
Bro I used to love playing this. It expanded the dark knight rises gotham even more were you would have to stealth through locations and could take out the lights in certain locations through batarangs, oh and I remember how you would have to be able to align a code to het in the system for missions as well as getting on the batpod. I remember it being pretty challenging actually at a few points especially the mission where you have to travel through specific places and not get noticed by enemy helicopter lights at all times. Man I had great memories with this game!
I remember seeing the screenshots of the game on google play and being blown away by the graphics. The game’s definitely not AS good looking as that but still it looked great for the time.
@@devin6079 I doubt it considering Bale's Batman had lots of skill it's just unfortunate we never got to see his fighting much. However we do know that this Batman/Bruce Wayne is master tactician and detective
@@dumb_lifeexe2264 yea he should be but they don’t really show that and what skill? All of the fight scenes and choreography was trash, except maybe some of banes.
These guys really had the right idea with this game comparing it with the Arkham games And also the Amazing spiderman 2 too was fun relating to Insomaic spiderman. They really had the right idea for these superhero games on a budget.
Gameloft definitely on the peak during this time. The most best of the best is modern combat series and asphalt. The game is too amazing during i was a kid and their game is the reason why i still interested to play game until now.
@@SectionPlays I remember this game it felt like the movie then I played Arkham city lockdown mayor sharp is opening Arkham city I take down all the villains
Another Fun Fact: Jason Griffith(sonic from Sonic X) voices Jonathan Crane in this game and Oliver Wyman (Drew from Pokemon) voices commisioner Gordan in this game
These devs were my childhood. I loved the NOVA games and the spider man and iron man games they made. I hate how people just go for a free to play with ads model for mobile games now instead of the golden age where you paid for them and could just play a game with a pretty decent campaign
OMG I remember this game. I played it and while I did used to get stuck on a couple levels, I did eventually beat it. I really wish this game was on the entire trilogy and not just TDKR, and also had a more climatic finale for TDKR than what we got here.
@@sumdomguoy548 yup the freeflow combat is the main resemblance, I'd say that this is the only non Arkham batman game that's remotely good why cuz it tries to imitate the Arkham games.
This game was incredible for its time. I’d even say it was ahead of its time for an App Store game. Graphically it looked amazing. Still better than most App Store games today.
The good old days: - The amazing Spiderman 1 and 2 iOS - Batman and the flash run - Batman Arkham origins iOS - Spiderman unlimited There was this one game where you could be big head superheroes with marvel and dc combined versing other villains. But man this brings me back
Lmao not gonna lie, even tho this is a joke. This game looks visually more pleasing than gotham knights. And I’m always trying to defend gotham knights and stuff but you actually got a point despite this being a joke.
Ahh the nostalgia vibes when I seen this thumbnail. Man, I’m thankful that I got to experience this gem when it was on mobile. One of the best adaptations of the Bat honestly.
@@drequanstevens3441 , you're joking? Just google "The Dark Knight Rises Mobile apk" and you will see a lot of sources to download and install. Of course, it's not "legal", but who cares when it is deleted from any store?
Pov You're 12 years old and wanted to play Arkham city but were broke, so you had to convince your parents to buy this for your iPad instead. Simple but good times I swear...
hate it when people say this. Yes the game looks impressive for a 10 year old mobile game but dont underestimate modern graphics like they’re utterly terrible lmfao
@@marquesventura7599Even today there's not a single game that has such an open world free roam in the city. Not even Gangster. Genshin n all are of a different category.
I was 11 when this game came out… From 2012 it still holds up damn! I miss playing this on my kindle fire hd however didn’t it get delisted? Yo wait anyone remember n.o.v.a 3 🤗
Not going to lie, they actually put decent effort into making these Movie Tie in IOS games. Sure they are far from Console worthy, but when I was a kid I had the Iron Man 2 and Transformers: Dark of the Moon Movie Tie in games on my ipod touch and I played them for hours. Sure they would be rough to go back to now, but when you're a kid and can't afford to buy a new Xbox game every two weeks, being able to pick up a whole game for like 5 or 10 bucks on the app store was a Godsend.
This game felt more like an Arkham Mobile game than the actual Arkham Mobile games. I loved it, though it never ran pretty well on my iPod 4 as a kid lol
Gameloft made the games 10 years ago which are still un beaten . It.s crazy . They have potential but still.they don.t make more games to beat now days console gen
Nostalgia hit me so hard i thought i was a kid again. This use to be my Game back then!!! It's amazing how the game look just for it to,be a mobile game. You would think this was on console . Gamel9ft was doing their thing back then also with Amazing Spider-Man
Old Gameloft is sick😭.. remember the amazing Spiderman 1&2,Batman tdkr,Nova,Minion, wonder zoo,mc3-5(5 is when the game get microtransaction so much), Gangstar Vegas and etc now after Gameloft bought by someone they didn't care about game, just care about money
bruh I swear, I was literally having dreams with this game and all the missions I remembered so I charged an old iPad like this is literally 4 iPads before the one I have rn so it’s old but I go to the old AppStore and see the “purchases” part so there are all the games and I downloaded this one and I finally played again and felt all the nostalgia, damn.
This was a really fun game I wish it was still around I would play it again there should do a remake and put it on everything also ,alot of movie games where good miss this is one of them!
I’m seeing a lot of comments saying Gameloft doesn’t make good games anymore but there is Minion Rush I know it’s been going for ages but it’s a very good game
I miss when there were actual good mobile games. Spider-Man Unlimited, Ironman 3, Transformers 4, The Amazing Spider-Man 1, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 were all my childhood. They were quality for a mobile game. Now we have these rpg, wait your turn games that are so boring. The only game worth my time on mobile is Dragon Ball Legends.
